Shareholders of Lazarus,
@"McChimp" has been appointed to serve as Director of Public Relations. As per Mandate 12 IV.6, this appointment is subject to a simple majority confirmation by the Shareholders of Lazarus.
The appointment announcement by Prime Minister @"Imaginary":
Imaginary;7901 Wrote:McChimp/Custadia has served as our Assembly Speaker for over a year in his position, longer than any other current official in the region. I think his dedication to an often thankless job and continual attention to detail when it comes to legislation will make him a responsible and discerning diplomat. I tend to look for someone's experience in a field before thinking about progressing them in title, but McChimp already possesses many of the skills needed for meaningful public relations work.
Please consider giving him your support in the upcoming confirmation as well!

Shareholders of Lazarus,
@"Leonism" has been appointed to serve as Director of Internal Management. As per Mandate 12 IV.6, this appointment is subject to a simple majority confirmation by the Shareholders of Lazarus.
The appointment announcement by Prime Minister @"Imaginary":
Imaginary;7901 Wrote:Leonism has become an invaluable member of our on-site community, engaging in roleplay with others frequently on the message board as well as hosting LazWORLD, our regional Minecraft server. He has also served well as Vice-Director of Internal Management, organizing multiple art events, asking LazASK questions and writing articles for our papers in this position, as well as offering reasoned advice and an admirable gamer spirit wherever he goes.
I think his experience in the field and judicial ability to see things how they are will make him an excellent head for the Internal Management team. Please consider giving him your support when this appointment is taken before the Assembly for approval.

The recommendation by Prime Minister @"Imaginary":
Imaginary;7901 Wrote:Furthermore, I would like to request that our CEO Treadwellia consider appointing Whatermelons as the Regional Guard's next Director. He has been an active presence among the paralegals for as long as I can remember, always willing to help out with the next operation if he can. His participation moved on from a good trigger to an advisor and currently my only fellow officer. I'm sure he would do well as the next leader of our paralegals and I would love to have him as part of my cabinet.

Lazarus Map Roleplay Act |

Dear fellow citizens,
Roleplaying (from here own abbreviated as RP) has always been an integral part of our community's interaction on our RMB. Since the LazMAP exists, it has proved to be a valuable resource for RP, with roleplay based on the LazMAP geography being commonly termed "Map RP". This is the closest we've got to an "official" RP in Lazarus.
With the recent increase in interest and participation in Map RP, it has become obvious that some form of guidance is needed to create the basis for fair and balanced RP, to aboid powergaming and establish a common "lore" behind our RP.
I've created this thread to discuss wheter - and how - to best regulate Map RP in the form of a Lazarene law, while I want any such law - should it come to pass - to explicitly acknowledge that citizens are free to roleplay in any form (RMB, Forums, Discord etc.) or scenario they want aside from the "official" Map RP.
Furthermore, certain facts about the Map, such as the size and geophysical properties of "Planet Lazarus" and the star system it is contained in shall be discussed and - if deemed appropriate and necessary - codified.
I have deliberately not yet written a draft of a potential Roleplay Act because I wanted to gather your ideas and thoughts first. A proper discussion of the legal aspects of any future law may follow in time.
