It has come to my attention that the region is concerned about the current vote on the Council of Lazarene Security.

The goal of this vote has been to put more on the Council and make the region more secure.

John Laurens is still a good nomination for the Council of Lazarene Security. However, it is all in our best interests to have many qualified candidates. For this reason, I am withdrawing for now the nomination of John Laurens for the Council of Lazarene Security. I would request input on more candidates, so that we can proceed soon to a separate vote on the Council of Lazarene Security.

In the absence of procedure in this circumstance, I am establishing a rule in accordance with Article I, Section 12 of the Mandate:

Should the Delegate withdraw their nomination of an official, the confirmation procedure relating to that nomination shall cease automatically.

As such, the withdrawal has been implemented. Votes regarding John Laurens will not be counted.
