Bug Fixes (10/13/22):
  • Fixed the bug that would show audio/media options outside of the forum text editor menu
  • Fixed the bug that was not allowing connected accounts Discord information to show correctly
 
October Development Update

Updating on progress so far, after the poll on discord I feel I am on track to what Lazarus is looking for as far as forum games.

Forum games progress:
  • Werewolf variants - Complete
  • Murder mystery - In progress
  • Penultimate Supper (November-January game) - In progress
  • Q&A games - TBA
  • Pokemon games - TBA
Nation RP progress:
  • Regional map (modern-day) - Needs to be uploaded
  • Sci-fi map - TBA
  • Historical/fantasy map - TBA
Other:
  • Forum guides - complete
  • RP guides - TBA
  • Character sheets - TBA
  • Forum activity/citizen badges - In progress
 
December - January Development Update

I'll be removing a lot of sub forums that are unnecessary, and I'll be archiving the regional map sub forum as I only need discord for that really.

Werewolf is complete and will be made into its own sub forum.

I'll be adding a Pokemon Battles sub forum.

Then I'll add a sub forum for general D&D campaign stuff, nation RP stuff, and character RP stuff.

And while Nationstates is down I'll start developing our regional lore and posting it in:
- Lazarus Librarium
- The Underworld
Those two will be moved out of Canary Wharf as well.

Social Groups have been added, so we can have multiple communities within our forum for specific RPs and games.

Really the forum community could be built in such a way that it is not just NS folks here.

Development update
  • Forum added to Cloudflare to speed up the forum and provide DDoS protection ✅
  • Captcha replaced with Cloudflare auto checker on the registration page✅
  • Groups added to forum ✅
  • Economy system updated and Pokemon starter costs increased ✅
CSS/Forum Edits
  • Fixed navigation color in number tabs. ✅
  • Added group colors to posts/threads for each forum theme. ✅
In-progress:
  • Establish the Bank of Lazarus with specific interest rates/fees ✅
  • Add regional taxes to the forum economy
  • Finish adding RPG quest items to the shop
  • Add nation items to the shop
  • Add more awards to the award system
  • Complete the Pokemon battles RP dice rolls
  • Finish re-organizing the RP areas for RP events/games/stories
  • Open adding items to the shop to citizens

Forum embassy closures

We have decided that it is rather pointless and difficult to keep two versions of embassies open, when discord is the convenient way that regional updates are shared.

Everyone that has a forum embassy with us already has a discord channel embassy on our server. I'll check to make sure of this.

But this month the forum embassies will be closed and archived, as our foreign relations will now take place on the Lazarus discord server.
 
I cannot edit account details. If I click on my name in the top bar only 'Loading...' appears, and https://nslazarus.com/forum/index.php?account/ leads to a blank page. This also applies to other pages under ?account/, e.g. I can't read alerts.

Unfortunately, a bug of an addon developer: https://xenforo.com/community/threads/account-link-to-preferences-page-broken.214544/
I added a new theme to check and same issue.

Edit: Fixed now though while the addon that was causing the issue was disabled.

The add-on developer fixed their add-on and the Pokedex is working again.
