Currently, we have a department for accepting shareholders. Even with such a simple job, it has failed miserably at it. I will immediately close down this department

This may not be legal. That particular office is, if memory serves, mandated by law.

I would like to forge treaties with several regions, namely The Rejected Realms and The East Pacific. I find that having treaties with these regions, as well as any others we may see fit, will be very beneficial to ensuring a sustained PR presence and interregional activity. I will work with the PR Director on the finer details of these treaties.

Our allies in The West Pacific and Osiris have fallen out with The East Pacific, who recently let AMOM back into their good graces. AMOM disguised himself within Osiris and nearly managed to coup the region. I think it would be unwise to sign a treaty with them at the expense of two others.

Technically it can be merged into another department or onto another Minister, and it would be possible to amend the law to allow for that.

When I wrote it, I was sort of thinking that it was possible hypothetically to allow for the responsibility to be put on a existing Minister. 

So it would be possible for example to create a new ministry, and add that responsibility onto whoever runs that department, in theory.

Whether this is a good idea or not though is up to the Assembly.
