[Proposal] Amendments to the Criminal Code Act (July 2020)
#2
In favour.

That said,

Quote:(2) Any person who knowingly attempts to or destroys or obscures information or evidence with the purpose of influencing, preventing or delaying a criminal review shall be guilty of Obstruction of Justice.

is grammatically incorrect:

"...attempts to or destroys or obscures information or evidence" doesn't make sense, but since "attempts to" is covered by the section about conspiracy ("prepares, incites another or plans to" covers the same group, essentially) you could reduce it to "Any person who attempts to destroy or obscure information or evidence..." which does.

I also deleted "knowingly"-if you read the original criminal code proposal threads, there was some discussion of this particular term iirc. It's notoriously hard (practically impossible) to prove that something was done knowingly, so instead we criminalised the actions on their own and expect citizens to take care to avoid committing the act.
