Hi everyone,

Many of you will be aware of the recent delegate tip in the North Pacific. This is a serious violation of GCR sovereignty, and it is paramount that we stand in solidarity with our sister regions.

Caer Sidi recently signed a treaty with the Brotherhood of Malice, the perpetrator of this attack. This has created irreconcilable conflicts between our legal obligations to them and to the North Pacific in light of last week's developments. Having discussed the situation with them calmly and in good faith, our government and that of Caer Sidi have agreed to part ways on amicable terms.

In the near future the government will be announcing further policies in response to what has happened.

Best regards,
McChimp

Is it the present policy of the Lazarene government not to hold current or future treaty relations with any region entreatied to the Brotherhood of Malice or Communist Bloc?

We conduct our foreign affairs on a region-by-region basis rather than applying blanket policies. That said, the circumstances severely limit the depth of relationship we could practically maintain with powers entreatied to either of those regions.

We have never held relations with either. Though having a treaty with a region tied fully/partially to the Brotherhood of Malice could reasonably conflict with treaties we hold with many allies. As for The Communist Bloc, that would be more complex as that is a developing situation, though they are at least supporting the BoM in engagements making them a potential conflict as well - though more case by case than Brotherhood of Malice.

I have been in McChimps shoes during the Balder coup attempt. These choices are not always what we want but what we need to do to preserve Lazarus's future. We are a very sleepy region with a limited army to protect ourselves we need to preserve the relations we have with the GCR's to ensure our survival.

I second.
