Lazarene Flag Act (2022)

Preamble

This law shall define the official flags of Lazarus.

Section 1. Official flags of Lazarus

(1) The following shall be the official flags of Lazarus:

a. This shall be the main regional flag of Lazarus:

b. This shall be the Regional Guard flag of Lazarus:

Section 2. Modification of the official flags

(2) The official flags of Lazarus may only be modified with the final approval of the Delegate except for resizing the flag itself.

(3) The official flags of Lazarus may be modified on a temporary basis if it is for a regional event or occasion that has been approved by the Delegate or Prime Minister, but only for the duration of that event.

(4) Modifications of the official flags may include:
a. Changes to the flag color,
b. Additional images and text,
c. Resizing text or images within the flag.

(5) Modifications of the official flags may not include:
a. Removing images or text from the flag.

Section 3. Limitations

(6) This act shall not restrict the Regional Guard from flying other flags.

Following the regional flag competition, this is now proposed.

Article 3 authorises temporary flag changes "for a month or more on a temporary basis," which is tantamount to allowing flag changes for any period of non-infinite time if it is for a Lazarus-approved event. Try:

• The official flags of Lazarus may be modified on a temporary basis if it is for a regional event or occasion that has been approved by the Delegate or Prime Minister, but only for the duration of that event.

Otherwise, I can support these flags.
