A motion and a second have been received for the Executive Council Amendment (June 2022). This is a vote on a constitutional amendment. As such, it requires a three-quarters super-majority to pass. The discussion thread can be found here. Also, this amendment will make changes to the Lazarene Corporate Theme Act (2020).
As per Assembly Procedure Act 1.5, this vote will last for 5 days, ending on June 28th, 5:18 PM EST. Citizens may vote "Aye" or "For," "Nay" or "Against," or "Abstain" or "Present".

Executive Council AmendmentSection 1. Amendment to the Mandate

The mandate shall be amended to include an Executive Council:
IV. Executive Council
Establishment of the office of Prime Minister
(1) The Prime Minister will serve as head of government.
(2) The Prime Minister shall be elected by majority instant-runoff vote for a four-month term. Elections shall be undertaken by the Assembly. Procedure for elections will be defined by law.
(3) The Prime Minister will serve until the end of their term or until resignation, removal from office by the Assembly, or automatic removal from office.
(4) The Prime Minister may issue executive directives to set public policy for executive ministries, programs, and activities. Such directives will remain in effect unless rescinded by the Prime Minister who issued them or a subsequent Prime Minister. Such directives may also be amended by the Prime Minister who issued them or a subsequent Prime Minister.
Establishment of the Prime Minister's Cabinet
(5) The Prime Minister shall appoint at least two Cabinet Ministers, one tasked with internal affairs, and one with foreign affairs. Appointment of Cabinet Ministers will be subject to confirmation by 50%+1 vote of the Assembly.
(6) The Prime Minister may appoint more officials to assist with executive duties, programs and activities, and may provide for their appointment and removal.
Composition of the Executive Council
(7) The Prime Minister will be appointed to the Executive Council and may allow Cabinet Ministers to participate on the Executive Council.
(8) The Delegate and Vice Delegate shall be permanent members and chairs of the Council until they are removed by three-quarters vote or resign from office.
(9) In accordance with the procedural rules of the Council of Lazarene Security, a member from their number shall be designated to serve on the Council as a security advisor.
(10) In accordance with the procedural rules of the Court of Lazarus, a member from their number shall be designated to serve on the Council as a legal advisor.
(11) Membership on the Executive Council will not restrict participation in another office.
Honorary Title
(12) Members of the Executive Council may be called Executive Councilors.
Ordinary responsibilities of the Council
(13) The Executive Council will be tasked with directing the affairs of state of Lazarus, inclusive of internal affairs, foreign affairs, and discussing the direction of the region.
Removal from the Council
(14) Non-Permanent members of the Executive Council will serve until the end of their term or until resignation, removal from office by the Assembly, or automatic removal from office.
Section 2. Replacement of IV. Cabinet of Lazarus
(15) The Section IV. Cabinet of Lazarus in the mandate shall be replaced with the Section IV. Executive Council.
Section 3. The Lazarene Corporation Theme Act
Section 4. Board of Directors of Lazarus shall be amended to read:

(1) The Emerald Council shall be the alternate title for the Executive Council.
(2) Director shall be the alternate title of a Minister.
(3) Emerald Councilor shall be the alternate title of an Executive Councilor.
