I think my predecessor did an excellent job, so it will be hard to improve on her performance. On the other hand, the scope of "Internal Management" is wide and variable, from my understanding of the role I will have a lot of leeway to support various community activities in the region. I would like to integrate the community as much as possible and explore more ways in which we, as a region, can enjoy both the game of NationStates as well as other activities together.
For doing so, I will need help. This is why I will invite citizens (and where legally possible, residents) of the region to participate in the activities of the Department and will delegate tasks as possible and necessary, giving others a chance to get involved and gather government experience. I will also want to appoint a Vice Director as soon as possible. Imaginary already suggested Debussy for this role, so he will be the prime candidate for the role.
Topics I would like to focus on:
- Roleplay, especially on the RMB but also on other platforms (forums, discord) if there is sufficient interest
- Endorsement events, similar to LazEndo or Galiantus/Americastralia's former Endo-tarting squad
- LazART contests shall remain a regular occurence and cater to all kinds of creativity potential in the region
- Gaming outside of NationStates. I have already created and run the LazWorld Minecraft server, which will continue. I would like to further the development of Lazarus as a "gamer" community, maybe there are other games which citizens and residents would like to play together?

Once again, I want to invite members of the community to participate. My function will be that of an overseer / editor-in-chief, while most of the content will be created by others. Imaginary already did a good job with that approach. Content wise, the Gazette shall be a mixture of informative content about the region (especially how it works off-site, as this is often confusing to newcomers), interesting topics including RL and funny stuff. If there are any players with previous experience in NS journalism I would be glad to hear from you!

My ultimate goal and dream would be a consistent, canonic RMB Roleplay around the Map of Lazarus. The story will more or less progress in real-time. All residents of Lazarus may participate. The "LazRP universe" will have certain properties (we already discussed the geophysical properties of Planet Lazarus and its solar system as a community, I want to deepen such discussions and create an immersive RP world) and give ample opportunity for roleplay in a modern-tech / near-future tech setting. A Gamemaster will oversee fair-play and prevent power-gaming. I will draw from my previous RL experience as a Pen&Paper gamemaster to develop this project.
What I would like to explicitly make clear in this context is that this "canonical" LazRP shall not, in any way, exclude other forms or settings of roleplay in Lazarus. It will merely be an offer for roleplayers to use this world, will in no way be mandatory and will not "override" the background stories players may have already created for their nations.

Uh, there are various experiences and skills. I am a comparatively old guy compared to most in this community, at age 34, so I bring a lot of life experience to the table. I must fairly admit that this is nevertheless my first leading role in a large NationStates community, should the assembly decide to accept me.
Previous gaming experience includes leading roles in a large "Day of Defeat" community called "Battle For Europe", which also got me into NationStates incidentally in 2003 (!) and later "Victory in Europe". I was active in that community from 2002 to 2009 and held various officer roles, leading up to 300 real players at one point.
Relevant for the Gazette is my RL experience as a journalist for a small local newspaper, where I worked at from 2002 to 2006.
Relevant for Roleplay is my previous RL experience as a Gamemaster for "Das Schwarze Auge" (The Dark Eye), Germany's most popular Pen&Paper Roleplaying game.
And of course, I was Vice Director of Internal Management for the past four months now, so I already have knowledge of the processes involved in running this Department.
