Side-characters include the grumpy Soviet military bureaucracy, some sympathetic Red Army bureaucrats (and asshole foils), and a few delightful lads from Soviet Intelligence.
How long do I need to watch before knowing if I'll like it? - I'd say 15-25 minutes.
