In NationStates' N-Day event, incoming nuclear attacks can be intercepted using Shields. The effectiveness of Shields in neutralizing incoming Nukes depends on the size of your nation's Shield Bank and the number of incoming Nukes. The rate at which the Shield Bank shoots down Nukes per minute is determined by the formula:

MAX(MIN(0.15 * FACTION_INCOMING, 0.25 * SHIELD_BANK_SIZE), 200)

where:

• FACTION_INCOMING represents the total number of Nukes targeted at your faction.
• SHIELD_BANK_SIZE is the total number of Shields available in your nation's Shield Bank.

Given that 1,413 Nukes are targeted at your nation, and assuming these are the only Nukes incoming to your faction, the calculation would be:

1. Calculate 15% of the incoming Nukes:
   
   • 0.15 * 1,413 = 211.95
2. Determine 25% of the Shield Bank size:
   
   • 0.25 * SHIELD_BANK_SIZE
3. The number of Nukes intercepted per minute is the maximum of these two values, but not less than 200.

To intercept all 1,413 Nukes, you need to neutralize them before they impact. If we assume Nukes take approximately 3-5 minutes in-flight before impact, let's use an average of 4 minutes for this estimation:

• Total interception capacity required: 1,413 Nukes over 4 minutes = 353.25 Nukes per minute.

• SHIELD_BANK_SIZE = 353.25 / 0.25 = 1,413 Shields

Therefore, to intercept all 1,413 incoming Nukes, you would need approximately 1,413 Shields in your Shield Bank.
