Preface, by Elarien
The "Axiotarian Manifesto" was published much not unlike the manifesto of the workingman's association that derived the Communist Manifesto, and much like these revolutionary voices the cause of injustices, social, economic, and political strife is bound in the brutal mechanisms of the political and economic classes that stand for oligarchy, plutocracy, nepotism. These groups have influenced and corrupted Lazarene society in the past, most notably prior to the
People's Republic of
Lazarus [1], and afterwards in the troubled years of the Humane Republic of
Lazarus [2] and the Celestial Union - its unfortunate successor.
The defeat of the reactionary forces in
Lazarus was by no means done all at once. The first step was prior to the establishment of
People's Republic of
Lazarus in 2013, the gradual movement towards political change as a direct result of lethargy in
Government, and the concentration of power in an oligarchical political system that did not offer economic or social prosperity for the
People of the region. This was more about a concentration of power in imperialist forces, and the competing interests of plutocratic and popularist forces, who sought control purely to align
Lazarus to an affiliation of imperialist, raider, or defender
Regions, and prevent the Lazarene
People from achieving true sovereignty within their regional borders.
With the establishment of the
People's Congress at the start of November 2013, the
People of
Lazarus began their first steps towards political change, as haphazard as it might have been at first. This would begin the first period of anti-reactionary action in
Lazarus, where imperialists and raiders alike would face opposition and expulsion, and a drive towards propaganda for public good, and the public welfare of the masses would come to the forefront - leading to a period of high activity that has few parallels in Lazarene
History, except perhaps for the activity that was not well regarded - the sort of activity prior to the collapse of the Celestial Union [3], of social and political division, foreign infiltration, and chaos.
When the Undead Dominion [4] began in 2018, it ended the myth of the benevolent hand of populism in
Lazarus, as it was by popular vote, infiltration or not, that democracy and
Lazarus fell, and then later by the destruction of the court of
Lazarus, and its very constitutional basis, the end of its large pool of citizens. Citizens who were ousted by the tune of 31 or more over this period for their association partial or not to the 'Revolt' against the governing forces. Though this ousting was not entirely without basis, as two factions were growing in
Lazarus, and it was inevitable that one would triumph over the other in a real political sense, and in a physical sense in control of the region and their institutions. That said, the trial was very much staged, the verdict pre-decided, hence the court was destroyed in both independence and practical basis of function to protect the citizenry from the abuse of force by the head of
Government.
Axionism by contrast as established in early 2024-2025, is a revolutionary movement against the forces of chaos and division for the well-being and fulfillment of every individual and nation in
Lazarus. It seeks for the expulsion of foreign influences that would invade and conquer the region, against the express will and desire of
Lazarus to remain an independent and fully sovereign region, regardless of foreign
Treaties, alliances, and friendships with other societies - not to imply that
Axionism seeks an insular region - but rather one where
Lazarus is united against common threats, negativity, and chaos, which has afflicted
Lazarus through much of its
History as a region.
The
Axiotarian Proclamation was merely the first word against the attacks that were beginning towards the
Lazarus political system by those that had already organized themselves under the control of reactionary foreign forces, who did not want change, or a
Lazarus that was independent or prosperous - but one that was subservient, controlled, and without any sovereign will to represent its interests. This began with attacks upon both the Delegacy, and the Prime Minister of
Lazarus, not to mention a member of the judiciary. The tried and true tactics that caused the collapse of the Celestial Union, were to be repeated again.
But unlike in 2017- 2018 such hostile forces met a brick wall, the brick wall of a unified security body,
Government, and delegacy, which was able hold off in both the legislature and the borders of the region itself, from foreign actors that were very interested in subverting democracy, and using the popular will against the region itself. And so it was in the shadow of this Hollow Veil plot that the Axiotarian Manifesto was truly born, and the Axiotarian Directorate of
Lazarus its first step towards future prosperity and sovereignty.
The Axiotarian Manifesto By Elarien and Feux
I. The Union of Three
What haunts the world is the specter of anti-popularism, upon which alliances have been formed to remove 'tyrannies' from world, likely this formation by the Reactionary Pseudo-Democratic forces, which establish themselves as Populist, Oligarchical, or Plutocratic; or as the more ironic and visible forces of tyrannical region-building.
The question that Lazarenes must ask themselves is what
Philosophy or political force exists in true opposition to both popularism, and pseudo-democratic deceptions of the masses? It cannot be those philosophies or political forces always entrapped and under the control of plutocrats, nor the oligarchies of old that merely establish control and then sacrifice themselves to other
Regions in the hopes of appeasing them through ever-escalating corruption.
We should ask ourselves, is there any path except
Axionism, when the other paths have left us in ruin or want?
With this in mind, Axionism offers three clear states of being:
I. The spirit, meaning the heart and values present in an individual so that they may start the transition towards being an Axiotarian.
II. The body, associated with what are the physical or meritocratic efforts in society, through which our contributions through hard work and deification advance ourselves.
III. And Worthiness, the state upon which someone has achieved sufficient wisdom and high integrity to become an Axiotarian.
And for this effect, Lazarenes have supported the existing administration in
Lazarus, at least to establish a basis in which their regional sovereignty is not cast aside or put in the control of a foreign power.
The general problem of political and economic classification is that there is not one succinct or clear term to summarize the forces of reaction, though socialism no doubt has tried, as have democrats who seek change for good reasons for public welfare, and not purely for their own self interest. Kakistocrat therefore becomes an umbrella term in which the wide scope of populism and pseudo-democratic forces can be classified.
The distinctive difference between an Eudai and a Kakistocrat is summarized as follows, the Eudai understands they are not more intelligent or superior to anyone else, and that they have a lot to learn; whereas the Kakistocrat establishes superiority through deception, public corruption, or the manipulation of popular will through pseudo-democratic mechanisms - which are always oligarchic or plutocratic in organization, with nepotism in the background.
Eudai ultimately must defer to someone, but this is to the political and philosophical class of Axiotarians, who do not claim superiority, merely that they are at the top of regional authority and seek to guide the region towards social advancement and prosperity, and without wait. They do not look to other
Regions for salvation, or call in foreign forces to usurp the status quo.
By contrast Kakistocrats never defer to anyone, as any deference is a deception, within which they plot for the acquisition of power and control over the masses. To achieve this they often look towards the overthrow of any body that can be manipulated or corrupted into their influence, and rather than dissuading foreign influences, embrace any foreign forces that will deliver themselves into power.
Essentially, for Kakistocrats to achieve power they rely often on pseudo democracy through a patronage system. This is corruption on a larger or more concentrated scale in powerful individuals, who use public outrage and consolidate power into wide-reaching oligarchies that control the vote and crush any political opposition - or through the more persuasive use of propaganda in print or through audio-visual methods. Axiotarians by contrast use propaganda as warning regarding real dangers, or rally behind figures that actually support future prosperity and progress - rather than the popularist that promises all these things and always deceives the masses in their heart.
The Union of the Three has three key states of spirit, the body, and worthiness or self worth, which when combined can turn a believer (or an Eudai) in the path into an Axiotarian. These three states are best understood in a spiritual or religious sense as the parts to improve of an Eudai, so that they can reach a higher plain of consciousness and understanding. This is not much a declaration of rules, as a declaration of the path that one can follow towards true fulfillment under
Axionism.
So the question then arises, how does the Eudai spirit reach spiritual awakening. To a newcomer to
Axionism this might be difficult, as they have very likely been brought up in the mindset fed to them by the materialistic and popularist driven world, or have been convinced into the mindset that to reach spiritual awakening they must give up possessions or lose connections to the materialist world. This is not the case, as to reach spiritual awakening under
Axionism requires opening your heart and your mind to new possibilities, and to be ready to take a leap of faith and embrace Lazarene values.
The next state of being is the Body, meaning what does one contribute to Lazarene society. This is the core of
Axionism. Negativity and hostility from one member to another undermines our society, drives division, and creates real social and physical conflict between member
Nations, and individuals, so
Axionism is opposed to those that enter Lazarene society purely to seize power, and not to advance the region in any way.
Lazarus has found that some members will become citizens, ignore the pressing needs of the society, and then become enraged when they do not rapidly advance up a ladder of power. Kakistocrats sneak into
Regions to strive for ultimate power, as their desperate need to be viewed as popular, superior, or powerful, overrides any concern they might have for the region or its members.
So Eudai and Axiotarians alike contrast themselves by not obsessing over power and positions, but on what they can do for
Lazarus and the
People. It is those that truly care about
Lazarus that advance in our region, and not the pretenders who proclaim they care - only to remain idle, ignorant, or angry.
The final stage in Axiotarian thought is Worthiness, which would mean to have reached a state of consciousness where you always act in the best interest of
Lazarus and your fellow Lazarenes, and do not fear to defend the region, even if it loses you respect outside of it, as respect of Kakistocrats has no value - being an effort to convert an Eudai into a populist. With constant threats as well as opportunities to improve
Lazarus and the world, it requires strong self-worth and ethical standing to be an Axiotarian, and to not give up your principles even if the world around you demands you do so.
To understand where
Axionism comes from it requires an examination of other
Literature, specifically the ideologues of power and control of the competing dominant ideologies in the modern world. Specifically this refers to Reactionary Psuedo-Democracy, with the three sub categories of Populist Psuedo-Democracy, Oligarchical Psuedo-Democracy, and Plutocratic or "True" Pseudo-Democracy. Critical-Utopian Eudaism and
Axionism breaks with the mold of Reactionary Psuedo-Democracy by not placing the concept of mob rule and political or economic ladder climbing as the main goal of society and social interaction; nor does it place populist grandstanding as an ideal state either.
1. Reactionary Psuedo-Democracy
To understand Reactionary Psuedo-Democracy, we must first understand the
Philosophy that drives one towards the irrational mindset that direct democracy or representative democracy by having a free election of voters, will always result in the majority of outcomes for the public good - even though this flies in the face of political reality. The most corrupt governments in the world in turn delude the masses further into thinking they care about public welfare, through propaganda campaigns and political circuses. Inevitably those governments consolidate wealth for the plutocrats and take power away from the middle and lower classes with each successive generation, and this is what in the generational space of time turns any democratic system into a pseudo democracy no matter how good the intentions of the original framers of the system.
A. Populist Psuedo-Democracy
Populist Psuedo-Democracy places its origins to ancient Greece [5] and Ancient Athens [6], and to the Roman Republic [7], two flawed societies that were taken over by the
Military industrial complex, oligarchs, and populists more broadly. Both Rome and Athens embraced slavery, the denial of equal suffrage (and more often sexism). They also established the concept of the Other, whether that was the notion of the 'barbarian' or foreign outsider. Essentially 'barbarians' were not considered Athenian or Roman enough to participate or to rise in political power - a general xenophobic attitude to cultural differences of groups.
With Athens we are first introduced to direct democracy, with the concept of the pebble tally, one black pebble for no, and one white
People for yes. While in principle this would give the popular feeling of the Athenian
People, in practice it left them open to being manipulated by populists who were in the business of smoke and mirrors. And those behind it all were the plutocrats, depleting the resources of Athens in endless
Wars against Sparta and the Persian Empire [8], until at last they were defeated by their enemies and then later by the Roman Empire. Unfortunately as noble as populist democracy might appear - through the appeals to the masses and majority rule, there isn't a direct democracy that hasn't ended in social and political collapse. So unsurprisingly Axiotarian thought does not embrace this form of political rule.
B. Oligarchical Psuedo-Democracy
Oligarchical Psuedo-Democracy is what is usually found in democratic societies where there is a group of entrenched families or organizational structures, who form the true shadow
Government, and representative democracy is just a cover for the shadow
Government to pretend they are a 'true' democracy, even though every election is rigged through populist propaganda drives by the oligarchs. The institutions of
Government are controlled not by popular vote, but by the oligarchs who simply remove through any means necessary those populist candidates or voters who threaten the existing order or imperil their control of the system.
C. Plutocratic or "True" Pseudo-Democracy
Plutocratic or "True" Pseudo-Democracy on the other hand is where the corruption is out in the open, and the goal is quite clearly to concentrate power and wealth in an elite. In this system distractions are created to divide the masses and prevent them unifying into a critical mass that might oppose the plutocrats, and this can often take the shape of establishing issues, whether that be social issues or economic issues to divide and conquer any opposition.
People are made to believe they have power, a real ability to change things, whether through free and fair
Elections or a clear means to reach the height of power if they just work hard enough to win over enough voters. But unfortunately for the masses, plutocracy is a race to the bottom, as for every election of a true believer in the public good and ethical
Government, there are at least ten times as many elected who care only for their personal power or getting their hands in the trough of the plutocrats - so that they may become plutocrats themselves.
2. Critical-Utopian Eudaism and Axionism
Critical-Utopian Eudaism and
Axionism by contrast fully understands the flaws of a democratic system, and favors instead the notion of the philosopher kings, who in a real sense seek to bring the Axiotarian state of being to all Lazarenes, and never delude the masses into the myth of popular will or the popular vote always translating to public good. This is for the majority of outcomes never the case - as even as much as we might hope for a well educated populace that aren't distracted by reactionary
Politics and appeals to populist propaganda, it is very easy for any democratic society to be irreversibly corrupted in the space of a few months or years of determined campaigning.
Eudaism brings the general concept that not everyone can achieve Axiotarian levels of consciousness, and in this sense a follower of a
Religion that embraces sharing and cooperation for public good between the masses, or an anti-reactionary socialist or communist are equally welcome to become an Eudai. These three ideological mindsets are in alignment with the ideals of
Axionism - to reach a higher state of being, and to resoundingly oppose forces that would distract the
People from reaching for the greater good of society. The desires of the nepotists, oligarchists, populists, and plutocrats are opposed, and not celebrated as the ideal state of society, and selfishness and cruelty by an economic elite is widely frowned upon in those ideologies. So
Axionism does not just champion ideological co-existence, but embraces it whole-heartedly.
Axionism on the other hand, once having reached its full strength of identity within a region, group, or an individual, is the final state of wisdom. It is reaching the utopian point where the propaganda of nepotists, oligarchists, populists, and plutocrats has been removed entirely from their consciousness, and they neither fear those forces nor take the effort to give them more legitimacy by confronting them on equal terms. Deception towards Kakistocrats is also an area of concern for Axiotarians, as they must not surrender their region or their friends to those that would tear down their society into division, fear or hatred - or even worse make a region into a puppet state of a foreign Kakiskocrat power.
V. Position of the Axiotarians in relation to the competing forces of opposition and support for prosperity and advancement.
Axiotarians are in a constant battle that is aptly referred to as the Great Crusade, which is the economic, social, and political battle against anti-reactionary forces. At times
Axionism might face a foreign power that does not like that
Lazarus for instance is not a pseudo democracy of their favored type, at other times it might face a unified group of infiltrators. This is often a group of infiltrators tied to a foreign region that wants to tear down what was accomplished by
Axionism, in favor of a divided and negative construct of
Lazarus that can be controlled from the shadows, without them requiring an imperialist force of occupation to keep the residents from a popular revolution.
1. The Great Crusade
The Great Crusade is not just the movement of
Armies or a popular force of propaganda against the Kakistocrats, but the great project of our times. The Great Crusade will never be something that has a clear ending point, unless a utopian point is reached in which Kakistocrat
Philosophy and ideology dies in the public consciousness, and everyone has at last embraced the Eudai as friends and brothers and sisters. So when the Great Crusade marches, it is more in the hearts and minds of the masses than in the field of battle against Kakistocrats - and as a non-violent and non-aggressive ideology
Axionism tries to avoid war and conflict where possible.
A. The Great Project
The Great Project is the general goal of the Great Crusade, and is established into three parts, regional sovereignty, fulfillment and integration of the masses completely into Axiotarian thought, and the development of a critical mass of philosopher kings who can tear apart reactionary thought. It is without stating that in order for
Axionism to grow the forces of reaction must be driven from power and from control of a region, so that a region can be truly sovereign to itself and not be controlled by the global spectre of Kakistocrat imperialism. But the Great Project is not without mercy, understanding, and acceptance of peace. If Kakistocrats do not seek to undermine or collapse an Axiotarian region, then they will be left to their own devices, and good natured and friendly debate and discussions shall be permitted in the hopes that one day they may see the benefits of The Union of Three.
VI. Endnotes
1. The People's Republic of Lazarus was a Government of Lazarus that was established after the collapse of the prior monarchist regimes of the region of Lazarus, through popular vote in this case, leading a purge of alleged imperialists.
2. The Humane Republic of Lazarus was the democratic regime that eventually replaced the short-lived regime of the Republic of Lazarus after the New Lazarene Order collapsed. It had less activity than the People's Republic of Lazarus, and gradually declined in political stability till the Celestial Union's passage signalled the end of this bubble of prosperity.
3. The Celestial Union was a constitution founded in an effort to obstruct and prevent the rise of the Undead Dominion, but it was written under a situation of civil and political strife that would lead to such division that a civil war occurred. This was not the ideal Environment for a constitutional convention.
4. The Undead Dominion was a regime established after the collapse of the Celestial Union, which was established after the members of the 'revolt' were ousted from the region.
5. Ancient Greece had various forms of pseudo-democracy in the city states.
6. Ancient Athens established a form of direct democracy after a popular revolution where the citizens broke into the Acropolis (the highest point of the city) to overthrow the Spartan-backed oligarchy, arguably the overthrow of what an Axiotarian would interpret as a Kakistocratic regime.
7. The Roman Republic was a period in which some citizens were allowed to vote to elect public officials, and the leaders of what was still an imperialistic empire, even if the Roman Empire would arrive later. It collapsed due to the severe political divisions between the oligarchy, and the centralization of power into a few individuals - who in turn were divided over who should run the Government.
8. Cleisthenes was the first leader of direct democracy. However, starting with Pericles, one of the most prominent Athenians of the direct democracy, it under-went poor decision making that led to a plague in Athens. The abject refusal of Cleon, a later leader of Athens to make peace with Sparta and the Persian Empire led it to be invaded and pillaged. Perhaps Cleon is the first example of a democratic populist who knew ending the war would be unpopular, and so kept on pressing on with it - even to the point of the defeat and devastation of his city.
