Hello all. It’s me Dom, once again looking to be your Prime Minister. I am currently the Regional Guard Commander but in the past I have been Prime Minister, Speaker, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Internal Affairs, Granting Official (x3), and Regional Guard Commander (x2).

Here are my general plans​

The cabinet is in disarray because the previous Prime Minister tried to coup the region and we haven’t had a Prime Minister since. Unlike the previous Prime Minister who betrayed the region, I plan to be an active voice for change and stability post-coup and to provide the region with renewed activity.

When I was last Prime Minister in late 2021 and early 2022, one of my primary concerns was regional recruitment. Indeed, I sent many recruitment telegrams over the few months I held the seat. Today, part of the reason Lazarus is in such a decline is because we do not actively recruit. Because we are Restorers and only naturally get refounded nations, we cannot afford to sit and wait for people to join. On the contrary, we must actively recruit new members to the region like any user-created-region would. Recruitment will be one of my primary concerns if elected. The Minister of Foreign Affairs will be tasked with getting permissions for our region to recruit from the Feeders.

In the past, we have not had a clear structure in the cabinet. However, I believe a core pillar of rebuilding the region is having clear and defined ministries with clear and defined roles. I want every citizen to be able to participate in permanent and clearly structured ministries. Therefore, later in this post, I provide clear outlines for my ministries. The basic outline is as follows, a Ministry of Recruitment to handle all regional recruitment, Ministry of Foreign Affairs to handle our region’s foreign relations, Ministry of Internal Affairs to handle internal activities, cultural activities and to work alongside the Minister of Foreign Affairs for interregional events, Ministry of World Assembly Affairs to handle General Assembly votes and advise the Delegate on Security Council votes and the Regional Guard Commander to train and lead our military.

I propose the following ministries​

Ministry of Recruitment: I will work with the Minister of Recruitment to create a recruitment telegram. We will combine stamps, the API, and manual recruitment to get the most new members as possible. Motivated citizens will be allowed to join the ministry and send manual recruitment. Furthermore, I will organize manual recruitment competitions.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs: I plan to expand and balance our diplomatic network by seeking to propose a new treaty partner to the Assembly. I plan to host or attend at least one festival with our partners. After the coup attempt, to make us more relevant on the diplomatic scene, I believe we should affirm our Independent alignment and find our own voice in Gameplay. I have already taken steps to make us more relevant as Regional Guard Commander by deploying to the new Sinker, the Plains of Perdition.

I will work with the Minister of Foreign Affairs to attempt to fill all embassy regions with ambassadors. The Minister of Foreign Affairs will ensure that appointed ambassadors are actually doing their jobs by checking that they applied for diplomatic credentials in embassy regions, checking that they posted updates, and requiring they submit bi-monthly reports on their activities.

Ministry of Internal Affairs: The Ministry of Internal Affairs will be tasked with writing bi-monthly editions of the Lazarene Gazette. I will work closely with the Minister of Internal Affairs on hosting monthly game nights in Discord. The Minister of Internal Affairs will work closely with the Minister of Foreign Affairs on, again, at least one festival with our partners.

Ministry of World Assembly Affairs: With the recent implementation of our ideology and the recent Axiotarian Proclamation, having a dedicated World Assembly Minister to advise votes in the General Assembly along ideological lines could be useful. However, advice to the Delegate on Security Council votes should be done on a case-by-case basis with consultation of the Prime Minister personally.

And of course, the Regional Guard Commander: The Regional Guard Commander will continue the operation in the Plains of Perdition as long as we are needed there. The Regional Guard Commander will be tasked with organizing training. Furthermore, the Regional Guard Commander will also be tasked with recruiting new commanders and operatives.

Right now, I do not have anyone in mind for my cabinet appointments. As the election comes to a close and if I appear to be winning, I plan to work with and appoint motivated citizens then.

Transparency​

I and the cabinet will post updates on the work of my administration. I will host Prime Minister’s questions in voice-chat at least twice.

Conclusion​

Since no one has done so yet, I will be asking questions about your candidacy as well as Andards' candidacy.

Q1: Since I asked this same question of Andards on recruitment. Is there any specific group of nations you wish to recruit, and how would you plan to welcome new nations to the region once they are here?

Q2: Since you discuss establishing new treaty partners. Are there any specific sorts of regions you would prefer us to become treaty partners with?

Q3: What would monthly game nights involve? And what sorts of festivals would you wish to create? If you have an idea of what those would involve?

Q4: Since you describe establishing a Ministry of World Assembly affairs. Many past such attempts to establish a dedicated ministry for the World Assembly have failed. How do you believe you can make such a Ministry function more effectively this time?

Q5: I asked this same question of Andards as well. What R/D operations do you consider pursuing? For instance, will it be tag raids, raids, defenses? And if so, which regions would meet your criteria?

A1: The only nations worth targeting for recruitment telegrams are newly founded ones. I have finalized the telegram and received approval from all the Feeders to proceed with recruitment. So far, I’ve sent over 1200 manual recruitment telegrams within the last few days, achieving a conversion rate of over 1.5%.

Regarding welcoming new nations, writing an API script to automatically welcome nations that relocate to Lazarus is on my to-do list.

A2: There are many potential treaty partners, especially given our Independent alignment. I propose narrowing the list to regions with which we already have embassies.

We’ve maintained relations with the League for a while, making them a potential treaty partner. Additionally, with the recent establishment of new Sinkers, it would be beneficial to be among the first to form treaties with them. The Outback is already protected by the West, and we are currently providing military support to Quebecshire in the Plains of Perdition. With this in mind, I support pursuing a non-aggression pact (NAP) with the Outback and a treaty with Perdition.

A3: Monthly game nights would be held in the public voice channels of our Discord server and would be open to everyone. We would play free, accessible games, such as Discord activities and browser-based games like web-based Yahtzee and Uno.

Regarding a festival, I am uncertain which regions would be interested, but I plan to gauge interest among our partners if elected. Potential events could include active spaces for casual chats, AMAs and interviews, events tied to our current RP plans, game nights, and any other activities our partners may find appealing.

A4: I understand that the WA ministry might remain vacant for some time, but having it established will provide newcomers with a clear avenue for involvement. My approach to the WA ministry differs from previous attempts, as I plan to align our voting with our new RP ideology. To implement this, I would appoint an RPer as the Minister.

A5: My plan is to start small and gradually expand. Initially, I would authorize tag operations and participate in liberations. As the Guard develops further, we can explore engaging in regular defenses and raids.
