Just because people make graphics & art doesn’t mean they are participating in the role play
I don’t see how this is a logical argument against changing the theme.
However, I do think this is a losing battle since it seems many are so opposed to change within Lazarus…
They are participating in the role play, if they are using the titles, including LazCorp in aspects of their RPs, and developing graphics and art. Is everyone overjoyed and always using it, obviously not. But arguing we are not using at all, in RPs or regional culture, doesn't even stack up to RPs on the RMB, and usage through government and by residents and citizens on the RMB and elsewhere.
People are not opposed to change within Lazarus. What people are opposed to is being told constantly how bad the theme is, how bad the region is, how terrible things are run, and how supposedly how terrible they are for not wanting to tear down LazCorp, in a negative and unconstuctive way.
People don't like being pressured either every month to change the theme, by the same people, and in the same negative manner, which is putting forward various doomsday scenarios of the region dying, being dead already, or fantasy scenarios of the region being magically transformed into the most active region just by torching LazCorp with fire.
What people like to be told instead, in a positive way is: "I have a great idea for new theme, and this is what I am proposing", not "the end of the world is nigh" level negatively, which is all that the attempts to repeal the theme have been so far for months.
What do you seriously think any community or group of people respond better to? Being told constantly how terrible they are for supporting the theme as is? Or being told, that there is a great new theme idea that could make things better, and they can help. Pretty sure that 9 times out of 10 folks pick the second option.
Want to change the theme great. Please propose something other than a scorched Earth policy of straight repeal, or something that is going to be dismissed outright for foreign policy implications, or being a direct copy/paste of something tried before.
This proposal leaves us with no theme and nothing to work with, and you are somehow shocked folks don't want this, and that a large part of the region responds negatively to it. Offer folks a bone, and not a whip, and the response will be different.
