Shareholders of Lazarus,

the standing period has concluded, and voting has now begun. In this thread, eligible shareholders may submit their ballots. As per Lazarene Elections Act 2.1.c and 5.1.a, the voting period lasts 5 full days starting at the point this thread was posted; therefore, voting will close on May 1, 2020 @ 14:48 UTC.

The eligible candidates are, in alphabetical order:

On their ballots, shareholders shall list up to five options in order of preference. These five options comprise the four eligible candidates (listed below), as well as "Abstain" (colloquially called "Re-Open Nominations"); if the virtual candidate "Abstain" wins the vote, a new election shall begin. Shareholders shall use only the forum names of the candidates; minor spelling errors are accepted if and only if ballot entries are obviously referring to one specific candidate as per my judgement. Ballots that include extraneous information or formatting are considered invalid.

A sample ballot that includes the candidates listed in alphabetical order followed by the Abstain option is listed below for your convenience:

Shareholders of Lazarus,

Lazarene Elections Act Section 6 specifies Instant-Runoff Voting for this election. Following is the detailed breakdown of each round of counting. For the first round, all cast ballots were tallied except that the fifth preference on a ballet, if present, was removed for ease of counting as it does not affect the process. In successive rounds, the ballots were tallied again but with any eliminated preferences removed. Any ballots that become empty due to the elimination is counted as Abstain. With 15 ballots cast, 8 votes are required to reach a majority.
