A joint Force called Pirates of Nile with Osiris as Headmaster, with other members of other regions like Caer Sidi, leaded by Kawaii, Rigel and Altino. Tension in Borders - TWP Close Embassy with TP (Better known as NPO)

After the declarations made by the previous emperor and by the Senate of NPO, with its declaration of war against TBH, and any military operation where TBH was involved. Diplomatic tensions in several regions have skyrocketed with the massive closure of embassies and relations with NPO, the tension is noted with the phrase that makes the difference between NPO and the rest of the regions: "NPO Delenda Est".

TWP has not been the exception, with a long list of negative experiences, the Delegate was faced with the difficult decision to face this event and show solidarity with the rest of the allied and/or known regions, withdrawing the embassy and withdrawing the status diplomatic of the NPO members on our server in Discord.

"The West Pacific wishes to announce the end of its treaty with The Pacific.

This is our oldest active treaty and the decision was not made lightly. We continue to have a fondness for some of its citizens and a respect for its long history.

However, the information that has recently come to light demonstrates that the NPO, at least as it is currently governed, does not respect the sovereignty of its allies nor the safety of the people of NationStates.

At the very least it fosters an environment where its high government officials feel free to act against other regions and to associate with, and even protect, players who seek to do others harm. At most, The NPO has engaged in espionage against its allies, including The West Pacific, and used a dangerous player as a tool to promote their own interests.

When I took office, I stated that two of my important goals were to promote safety and to ease the toxic exchanges that we see so often. It is clear that The NPO diminishes security and promotes toxicity.

This type of behavior must be rejected by GCRs and UCRs alike. The West Pacific will always expose and eliminate any harmful players like Block and we call upon all of the regions of NS to pledge to do the same.

The West Pacific stands in solidarity with Osiris. Our treaty with The Pacific is withdrawn and their embassy will be closed. We remain, as always, prepared to defend ourselves and our allies from all threats."

The responses of friends and allies have been positive, however unconfirmed nations have been created in TWP with the purpose of creating disorder and discord. But TWP's Guardians have dealt with these verbal aggressions head-on. It only remains to hope that this conflict that is escalating to a multi-regional war, is settled and that the new emperor promotes a new and positive change in NPO. This, however, is understandably a rather big challenge, due to the ideology of the previous Emperor which quite rooted in the minds of the members of the region's Senate.

Regardless, we longly await for the day the region cleans itself up and may once again stand as our ally. Until that day comes, our military is prepared to fight to the end.

History Update: After the Tensions, The Christmas Truce Arrived!

Let us recapitulate history, and reflect what we have learned and/or transmitted, in our daily activity, not only in NationStates but in our living.

On a crisp, clear morning 24 December, 100 years ago, thousands of British, Belgian and French soldiers put down their rifles, stepped out of their trenches and spent Christmas mingling with their German enemies along the Western front. Graham Williams of the Fifth London Rifle Brigade described it in even greater detail:

These acts of humanity, unleash a series of actions. Point and apart from the sanctions and martial courts that were carried out against the military that decided not to return to the fight on December 27, 1914, formed a precedent of the importance of forgiveness and humanity. In NationStates, TWP called for a truce for all regions that signed war against TP members, known as NPO, which despite small things, has been carried out in a magnificent way. And this has given an opportunity to each region and each member of their respective region to create new expectations, new criteria, and move forward with new goals (with or without salt) in NSGP.

If you want to know more about these small events of our humanity, do not wait until December, investigate, in your local libraries, on the internet, there are always resources to complement knowledge, search the national digital archives of the United Kingdom, there is good content about the first world war and the truce of '14.

TWP Wishes a Very Happy New Year!

This year (2018), we all had surprises. Pleasant, unpleasant, of all kinds, attractive events, discussions, reconciliations. A package to share without a doubt. And it has ended, and once again NationStates, as the initial platform, has driven us to create new relationships with other people, creating and forming regions, nations, links, and friendships. 2018 is over and our delegate, Delegate of TWP, gives us these words, and finally, I wish you a great 2019 and move forward with your goals:

The West Pacific held its inaugural Rugby World Cup this February, in which 18 nations competed for a chance to win fame and glory. Hertfordshire and Jammbo triumphed over Fujai in a 13-3 match to win the championship, and Giovanniland took third place over Dalimbar, scoring 6-3. With the great turnout and smooth running of the Rugby World Cup, plans for future tournaments of other sport events are being considered.

May Elections

Our first round of elections for the year took place over May 19th to 22nd on the regional forums, with voting open to all citizens of the region. In conclusion, this was a great election cycle, with many interesting ideas for the ministries and the Hall of Nations. It is worth noting that the voter turnout was also the highest of recent cycles, with 57 valid votes in most elections. This is over 50% of our Hall of Nations. Furthermore, there were no positions with only one candidate, which shows increased interest from members in being part of the government. The region hopes that further voting seasons have even more activity, and that more members decide to try and run for positions!

Results:
Speaker of the Hall:

TWP and Karma at WAterloo.

The Supreme Beings of Meritocracy

There is nothing more non-bogus than meritocracy. All we are is dust in the wind, dudes, but we can become the Most Supreme Beings by being the most excellent dudes. The West Pacific and Karma know that obviously the only way to be excellent is to study hard, work hard, and be very outstanding. We fully avoid the odious habit of all those ugly dudes to ignore talent and atypical players. Indeed we are most thrilled to share our appropriate knowledge and resources to help our players be undoubtedly unrivaled babes and dudes in the NationStates universe. We are atypical regions with bodacious communities and we are totally into that.

This Horde Of Walkers Found This Stranded Family, And What Happens Next Will Warm Your Heart

By G.A. Romero of Podium

The Night of the Living Dead has been an unparalleled success across the West Pacific, with entire cities falling under the sheer weight of the rotting flesh in a matter of hours. However, stragglers always emerge from any change, and nowhere was this more apparent than with the Clarkson family in Eibmoz, Podium. Using a variety of improvised weaponry, including pool cues, baby-bottle molotovs, and a spike-covered minivan, the family decimated their zombified township, attempting to make their way to the Eibmoz harbour in order to escape to an untouched island aboard their catamaran. However, pool cues splinter, baby-bottles melt, minivans run out of petrol, and soon the Clarksons were cut off by a horde of 5000 strong. In a scene that could only be described as overwhelmingly wholesome, the family was torn limb from limb, their blood coalescing with the rest of the horde's as the last stragglers of the Night of the Living Dead were brought into the fold, strings of fat, muscle and guts, draped upon their shoulders as they, too, came to appreciate the horde. And such was the tale of the West Pacific's Walkers, the unity of flesh and mind wandering forth to spread more undead cheer to the rest of the world.

I was very proud to have served under [Bran]. He's one of the best Delegates, if not the best, that I've worked with. He's not only carried on TWPs proud traditions but enhanced them with his hard work, dedication, and good humour. I know Dilber will be a great Delegate going forward and that TWP is a strong region because of both Bran and Dilber.

While I am still relatively new to NS, Bran's delegacy was one that I could say was inspiring. He knew when to be firm and when to be soft, a skill that many people have a hard time learning. Bran was a master at this and it shines through in his actions during the Drewpocalypse. He also led the region well despite the real world troubles we face today and he knew how to get the best out of people. Halo left the region in good hands when he made Bran the delegate and his actions throughout his delegacy is proof of this.

TWP under Bran's leadership truly in all aspects. Bran had a brilliant vision for the region in terms of activity, culture, FA, etc. But his true genius came in engaging the region to grow. Challenging residents to take interest, learn, and show what they could add to create an even greater TWP. The development and empowerment of young talent has been impressive. Bran set expectations and demanded a pursuit of excellence. The region responded! Bran's legacy will be showing the region how to be better and encouraging folks to do so. He has built something that we all need to nourish and be proud of. This is the time of TWP!

The Z-Day graph of the West Pacific 8 hours before the end showing zero survivors.

The entire population of the West Pacific was successfully converted into zombies, but the efforts to embrace the horde didn't stop there! Members of the West Pacific Armed Forces (the regional military) were soon instructed by Commanders as well as Officers Teralyon and Aluminium to spread the zombies to other regions. Several regions were invaded and their massive survivor population converted, while in other cases the regional officers noticed and promptly banjected the nations embracing the horde. Regardless of the result, the zombie exporters at TWPAF surely had a lot of fun! In the meantime, other TWPers watched as nations were founded or moved in the main region in order to convert their living populations into zombies. In the end, there was a small jump in the survivor count due to the major update increasing the population of everyone in the region, but nevertheless members from our regions celebrated as the hordes were triumphant!

This is it for this article, and I hope you enjoyed reading about these annual events in the West Pacific and elsewhere. Stay tuned for another article like this one next year!

October Card Contests

By Giovanniland

During the month of October, TWP celebrated OctwperfestThe Witching Pacific, celebrating classic Halloween imagery and tropes. The winning entry came from card collector Mediobogdum, who collected over 50 Halloween-themed cardsCandensia. It's certainly a nicely built collection that deserved the win!

After that came The Wizarding Pacific, a week about everything Harry Potter related. While region members talked about their favorite houses and wizards, Aluminum Oxynitride(ALON) collected nearly 30 cards for what would be the winning submission! In the end, their submission Wizarding World gained the unanimous vote from all judges. After receiving legendary card Australian rePublic as the prize, ALON stated their intent to expand their collection even further. Congratulations to them and good luck on their future card collecting!

The third theme was Squatchtoberfest, celebrated all things Bigfoot and Sasquatch. The winner was []Old red] for their small but interesting collection, containing a flag of Canada to represent Sasquatch's origin, some images of the woods referring to the place it's usually spotted, and even images of Bigfoot itself, including our Delegate's animated card! The collection has been dismantled since, but the owner won a copy of the Free Socialism legendary card. Congratulations!

Last but not least, in the week of The Walking Pacific collectors were instructed to collect zombie-related cards while the region prepared to embrace the horde in the annual Z-Day event. Unfortunately, the zombies did not only eat all the brains but all the cards, so there was no submission for that week's contest! Nevertheless, the overall month was very successful with card events as a total of three legendary cards were awarded to awesome collections. Stay tuned for future card events happening in the West Pacific!

It was a mental slippage of epic proportions: either Smith was unaware of the score or he presumed that the team had a timeout to use. James reportedly punched the wall and injured his hand after that game. The Warriors would sweep the Cavs 4-0, and in the ensuing offseason King James opted out of his contract and moved to the Los Angeles Lakers.

This was the last hurrah for the Chicago Bulls Dynasty of Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Phil Jackson (and for key supporting players Toni Kukoc and Dennis Rodman). The previous year, Jordan had his famous flu game in the NBA finals against the Utah Jazz. They would face off again in the 1998 Finals, but with the intrigue of an impending dissolution of the team core. General manager Jerry Krause had slighted each of the core figures: he re-signed Jackson to be head coach only for one more year (plus more behind the scenes), did not negotiate a contract extension with Pippen and instead tried to trade him, and Jordan had already had been displeased with personnel moves and statements by Krause over the years.

All of this made for a poignant season that was chronicled in the remarkable documentary The Last Dance. The Bulls were dominant again, and in the Finals, they aimed to complete a second three-peat. It essentially came down to two shots, one made and one missed.

Though down 3-2 in the series, the Jazz were leading Game 6 86-85 with less than 30 seconds left. John Stockton fed the ball to teammate Karl Malone in the post with 22 seconds left. Immediately, Jordan snuck over to double team Malone. He took a swipe and was able to dislodge the ball from Malone. Jordan immediately grabbed it and carried the ball back up the court. He positioned himself just above the left elbow, guarded carefully by Bryon Russell of the Jazz. With 9 seconds on the clock Jordan, running on fumes, drove towards the free throw line. Russell followed closely. Then Jordan surprised Russell by crossing over to his left and pulling back to the top of the key for a wide-open 20 foot shot. It is still debated whether Jordan gave Russell a push or not. Swish.
