Rules

This Code of Conduct outlines acceptable behavior on our Forum, Discord, and affiliated sites. It should be noted that not everything is listed in this Code of Conduct, as sub-rulings will be added as required or requested.

This forum will never release compromising personally identifiable information, inclusive of contact details or media, as we want to keep forum members safe from harassment or intimidation.

• Members of this forum cannot harass other members, inclusive of threats of intimidation, doxxing, or violence
• Members may not use direct messaging or messaging in channel to attempt communication when communication is no longer wanted by the other party, as this also falls under harassment

This is a PG-13 forum, so sending/posting pornographic or sexual content is not permitted, inclusive of photos, gifs, and sexually graphic text or discussion.

• Fascist symbols or avatars are not permitted on this forum. This is inclusive of German, Italian, or British fascism, and their flags, insignia, or images of public figures
• Confederate symbols or avatars are not permitted on this forum. This is inclusive of confederate flags, insignia, or images of public figures
• Avatars that are meant to degrade the race, religion, ethnicity, sex, or gender identity of other forum members, are not permitted on this forum
• Avatars that are politically aggressive and meant to intimidate other forummembers or advocate violence, are not permitted on this forum
• Avatars that may break the Terms of Service of Nationstates, as mentioned here: https://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=361490, are not permitted on this forum

• Fascist characters are not permitted on this forum. This is inclusive of German, Italian, or British fascism. Spanish fascism is tolerated on case by case basis, so far as it does not exhibit any of the below aspects of characters
• Characters meant to degrade the race, religion, ethnicity, sex, or gender identity of other forum members, are not permitted on this forum
• Characters that are politically aggressive and meant to intimidate other forum members or advocate violence, are not permitted on this forum

• Spamming on this forum is not permitted, which means to send the same message over and over with minimal changes, or flood the forum with unwanted messages
• Trolling on this forum is not permitted, which means to include breaking any of the General Policies or Avatar(s) or Character(s) Policies of this forum
• If it is suspected spamming or trolling, you can either DM a Moderator on Discord or leave a message in Forum Reporting
• Administrators are tasked with removing trolls or spammers from the forum, and have the ability to remove forum members engaging in spamming or trolling

• Posting or sending recruitment messages on this forum is not permitted
• Advertising events is permitted, so long as the adverting is not overly distracting
• Advertising events as a means of recruitment is not permitted, such as advertising an event that also advertises why they should move away from Lazarus
• Advertising events in the lobby or foreign embassies is permitted

• First, report through DM to a Moderator on Discord or a Message on this forum. You can report it here, though it is not advised to make it publicly viewable to everyone
• It is wise to report through a Discord DM or Message on this forum, if there is potential for retaliation or you do not want your report publicly viewable

• Warnings are specific to a possible or suspected forum policy violation, so a first warning on three separate policies would not warrant forum expulsion
• Warnings do not cover behavior such as spamming or trolling, as these can be quickly resolved by a member being kicked or banned from the forum for a period of time till they desist
• First warnings are advisories requesting laying off an activity, and are not threatening expulsion from the forum, but appeals of this warning can be granted on request
• Second warnings are advisories requesting laying off an activity, though in this situation appeals will be granted, as it could lead to more severe action in the future
• Third warnings will result in being unable to post on the forum for at least 24 hrs or up to a week depending on severity. Appeals will be granted, though these will take place among forum moderators
• Final warnings will result in being unable to post on the forum. Appeals will be granted if requested, and will take place among the forum moderators. If the appeal fails this will result in forum expulsion from one to twelve months, or indefinitely if the behavior was severe enough a breach of the Code of Conduct

• If you are removed from the forum, you are not permitted to return till the decided upon date and time, and creating new accounts to avoid a ban would only double the time of the ban or make it permanent
• Removal from the Discord server does not mean a ban from the NS Lazarus Forum, as the former is a privilege and not a right as all official votes will occur on the forum, and official discussions will also take place on the forum
• The exception would be if an OOC offense occurs for instance, such as breaking the PG-13 policy on the forum or forum, in which case a ban or expulsion from either would apply to both the forum and this forum

• Changes to forum policies may occur at any time, though usually these are related to clearing up existing policies
• Supplementary rulings may occur related to appeals or suggestions for changes to forum policies.

Political Discussion Rules for: Current Events, Political Debate, and forum-wide

• Forum rules as usual must be followed
• Swearing, abuse or trolling is not permitted, if you want to do that try Reddit/Twitter

• Biden vs Trump is permitted, so long as it isn't just partisan hackery i.e. Biden is a Communist [1] [2], Trump is Hitler [1] [3], and so on
• Promoting political violence is not okay, meaning everything from posting a former President's decapitated head [4] to sharing January 6th trash posts [5]
• Since this may come up, discussing side effects of vaccines is fine, spreading disinformation like "vaccines are unsafe" is not [6]

[5]: That includes the January 6th Antifa conspiracy theory, and whatever trash is on 4chan or the deep web
