The Neutral Republic of Burikinia, commonly called Burikinia or Borginia is a Democracy in Lazarus. It is bordered on the east and south by New Rogernomics, on the south by New Birch, on the northeast by Cianlandia on the east by Guiness Freaks, and on the north by Debussy. Burikinia covers 4,173,700.92 square kilometres and has an estimated population of 4.171 Billion People. Burikinia comprises of 20 Prefectures. Its Capital and Largest City is New Burik City, a vital trading hub in Lazarus. Other major cities are Akikawa, Yunhai, Yadinskaya, and Yuukimura.

All of the population is English Speaking. But, Almost everyone in Burikinia is Quadrilingual, consisting of English,Bahasa Indonesia, Japanese, and German. Some prefectures, especially Elhamza(A prefecture based on the Middle East), retains the original Akhranian language from the Bronze Ages.

Burikinia is a member of the World Assembly, although they rarely votes on resolutions. Known for having a rich Culture and History, Burikinia has been home to quite many influential and successful artists, musicians, philosophers, musicians, scientists, engineers, and inventors. Burikinia has a large number of World Heritage sites and is among the trend of Tourism destinations in the world.

Burikinia origins from two parts:Burik and inia.Burik is the result between the old Burikinan accent and Burg, the German term for castle, referring to the major German-speaking population from 13 to the 20th century. It is later added with the suffix "-inia" denoting origins. So, Burikinia roughly means "From the castle".

Pre-History​ (top)

From the Dawn of Men, People began to settle here in Burikinia, due to its fertile land and proximity to seas. The first civilization domiciling in Burikinia was Ordina, a Trade-Focused Civilization comprised of several nearby tribes. Things were going well until the Eruption of Amaketanga, now known as Monte Marzano, during 916 BC. Add that to the invasion by newer tribes, and you get the Collapse of Ordina.

Bronze to Classical Ages​ (top)

Burikinia, known from Bronze Age to its independence as Akhrania, enjoyed a massive boost of Cultural and Scientific Advancement. It was a pivotal trading civilization in Now-Lazarus. It was peaceful, before a dictator named Aldoran Akidorn (479-416 BC) is on the throne. He allocated most of the funds into Military expenses, believing that Akhrania was too weak and could be easily invaded. After he died, next in line was a man that will set the course of Akhranian future. That man was Ignasio Badarcia(434-361 BC). He prospered the Economy, boosts science, spreads theology, and developing the Military, even better than Akidorn. He set the ways of the country in stone and made it prosperous through the ages. Thus, during his reign, begins the "Golden Age of Akhrania".

Medieval Age and Udrian Occupation of Akhrania​ (top)

During the Medieval Ages, Akhrania was one of the most prosperous civilizations in Lazarus. During 1049, an unknown civilization called itself "Udria" and invaded Akhrania. Akhrania were outnumbered, and lost to Udria. During that time, Akhrania experienced its first opression by a foreign civilization. Citizens were often enslaved, women were constantly harassed by Udrian soldiers, and poverty were skyrocketing. And just like that,Akhrania has fallen. At the same time, Immigrants around the world began flooding in, bringing their cultures, making Burikinia the current record owner of tribe numbers, at 687 tribes.

Pandian Occupation​ (top)

With its citizens living in low welfare and poverty, Udrian Akhrania was one of the poorest lands in Lazarus. So, when the Pandians captured Akhrania, People were cheering, thinking that it's their time to be freed from those Udrians. Pandians came in "peacefully" and made several agreements, which Akhrania accepted. But soon, Akhrania realized that it was all a facade. Pandians further enslaved Akhranians, even women and children. Akhrania was soon diving to a second dark age.

Industrial Age​ (top)

When the Industrial Age dawned, Akhrania struck oil in their seas, transforming Akhrania from dirt-poor into one of the most sophisticated areas in Lazarus. Due to this, Pandia gave some otonomy to Akhrania. But, it was still opressed, so underground Akhranian secessionists made an underground group called "Burikinian Freedom Corps"(BFC). The name "Burikinia" was chosen due to its base situated in a German castle.

Great War and Independence From Pandia​ (top)

When the Great War starts in 1925, Lots of forced conscripts were made to fight for the Pandians. It was bloody and took many lives of young Akhranians who hasn't experienced adulthood. Seeing this, Muhammad Gheysar, the leader of the BFC decided that it was the time to liberate Akhranians with their own hands. The spark of revolution started in 18 June 1927, during the St. Carcano rebellion. the rebellion proved that the BFC can govern and defend itself without foreign intervention. this went on and on, with the peak of it being the Liberation of Widleinst (now New Burik City), the final city which was occupied by Pandia. After years and years of fighting, sacrifice, heroism, and bloodshed, in 13 April 1931, the BFC has liberated Akhrania, free without any foreign intervention. Just after that, Akhrania was renamed to "Burikinia", honoring the BFC.

Rebuilding of Burikinia and the Atomic Age​ (top)

Muhammad Gheysar, now the first President of Burikinia, ordered a massive rebuilding of Burikinia to make it prosperous again, due to the massive destruction the war had left. almost 45 years later, Burikinia soon became one of the most prosperous Nations in Lazarus. As part of the development, nuclear power, technological advancement, and space programs were put on high gear, to signal that Burikinia also can be one of the most advanced Nations on Lazarus.

Burikinia is a large-sized country with a somewhat warm Climate, similar to Poland in real life. During summer, its temperature can reach 32 C(89.6 F) on average, and 4 C (39.2 F) during winter. Burikinia's most favorable weather is during spring, at 23 C (73.4 F) on average. Burikinia borders the Comona Strait, a vital waterway for Trade. Its highest peak is the Vindagyr Peak at 9.371 m, and its lowest point is Taira Crater, at -197 m.

The Climate is mostly temperate throughout the country. Summers are generally warm, with average temperatures between 15 and 32 C (59 and 89.6 F) depending on the region. Winters are rather cold, with average temperatures around -20 and 4 C (-4 and 39.2 F) , depending on the region. Precipitation falls throughout the year, although, especially in the north, winter is drier than summer.

Due to its History as a trading hub and its openness to immigrants, Burikinia enjoyed a vast community of races. Burikinia's population is estimated to be 3.465 billion in June 2021.The population of the capital, New Burik City, exceeds 131.3 million(including the suburbs), representing about 4 percent of the country's population. It is known for its cultural offerings and high standard of living.

Burikinians usually use English and Bahasa Indonesia, and to some extents, Japanese and German. Ancient Akhranian Language is largely forgotten, as the only Prefecture that speaks Akhranian largely is Kharsan.

Religion​ (top)

Majority of Burikinians accept Islam as their true faith, but that doesn't stop others from embracing other religions. On the 2021 Census, 71% of Burikinians identify themselves as Muslims. Other denominations include Protestants (10%), Buddhism(7.3%) Shintoism (4.7%) and others (7%).

Unlike religions in some other countries, religions in Burikinia are fairly lax and laissez-faire, with many ideas of freedom in it. It means that religions in Burikinia has a fairly unique viewpoint, ensuring that religions in Burikinia are a little free than its original source.

Ethnicity​ (top)

69(nice)% of the population is of Burikinian ethnicity, and 8% as Japanese. Other major ethnicities include German (7.5) and Italian (6%). As foreign residency permits were extremely rare, there weren't any significant demographic changes until the occupation by Udria in 1049. In 1048, Almost 100% of the population consists of the Akhranian (now Burikinian) ethnicity.

New Burik City is by far the country's largest city. Akikawa is second in size, followed by Yunhai, Yadinskaya, Yuukimura, and San Marzano. All other cities ranking lower than 11th has less then than 10,000,000 inhabitants.
