What is the purpose of this?
The purpose is simple, to preserve and record the history of our region, the governments of this region, and the people of this region as accurately as possible.

Why describe it as non-governmental/extra-governmental?
Simple, because the purpose of this is to record the history as accurately as possible. It's disconnected from the Government to prevent rewriting history or putting spins on it. While currently it does have the Imperial Chancellor as the head and member of it, hopefully we can change that soon.

Has this been done before?
To our knowledge, no it has not been attempted before in any of the Warzones. However the Imperial Chancellor worked on this in order to allow the history of our region to be known and heard. We firmly believe that our history is a part of who we are as a people and as a region. That we need to learn the past to prevent repeating the mistakes.

How do you go about doing this?
We have gone about doing this by many different methods. The Pre-Kurwa era is recorded through the WFE at Major Updates (thanks to a tool that is available online), along with forum posts, Warzone News Releases, and RMB posts. In the Kurwa and Post-Kurwa era this is done through first hand experiences, along with forum posts, RMB posts, and the WFE.

How will you ensure this remains independent?
At the moment, we can't. However it is hoped to eventually pass a charter through a vote of the residents of Warzone Sandbox. That charter will be tantamount to a constitution of the region, and will be binding. The Charter itself would be considered extra-governmental and have provisions forbidding both any external government from controlling it and from it acting as a government. Essentially it will be a separate entity from any Government of Warzone Sandbox at some point. This will hopefully allow the institution to endure through invasions, government changes, and anything else like that.
