The Lost Boy ______________________________ In loving memory of a beautiful little boy: once a light in so many dark lives. May you one day find the lost light in your own life, and remember the ones who truly love you, and who always will love you, now and forevermore. Requiescat • In • Pace ______________________________ The faces of angels stone Wet with tears flowing anew Down a grave now overgrown Rotting black and kempt by few Who rests here so few still know Of their son once a loved light Neither commander nor foe Nor a shadow in the night Played he in the asphodel In the days of auld lang syne But now to his sword they fell As mere chaff in his young eyne Those who raised him from his birth Scorned he them yond mortal ken As cold age stole youthful mirth Died a son so loved back then Not a single tear was shed Not a single life was pained Not a single heart was bled Not a single friend remained ______________________________ |
