[7] Accounts differ on this. Other records of repute say Nordbotten was destroyed first. Nordbotten was the site of the first battle the Grey Wardens fought in the First Blight.
[8] Warden-Mage Neriah deserves an honourable mention for sacrificing her life to protect him from a Darkspawn attack, thus giving him the chance to get to Zazikel.

[11] So many Darkspawn were killed during the final battle that it was thought The Blights were over forever.
[12] "The Warden" could be a Human or Dwarven Noble, Human or Elven Mage, Dwarven or Elven Commoner, or an Elven Dalish Outcast.
