The Black Flyers Reign Supreme! "Huzzah! NationState's most loathsome and feared military force is The Black Flyers (TBF). We come, we see and we conquer. Defenders are forever a step behind us and the mentioning of our name makes even the strongest delegates quiver. There is absolutely nothing that can get in the way of our 'VaderC- WHAT THE FUUUUUUDGE?!?!?! How the hell did they know that we were going to hit %REGION%? Curse the Grey Wardens and their damn spies!" Welcome to TGW's first game of Mafia. For those of you unfamiliar with Mafia, check out this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mafia_(party_game) In this game, the village will be played by The Black Flyers, TBF for short. They are the preeminent invader force in NationStates. The only problem is that they have infiltrators within their ranks. These infiltrators, playing the role of Mafia, will be The Grey Wardens. Will The Black Flyers be able to sniff out the source of their leaks or will The Grey Wardens carry out their mission to bring about their demise? Roles The Black Flyers Moves Like Jakker: You may not quite be Jakker, but you have the moves like him! Each night phase, you have the option to protect a player from the treachery of the Wardens. You may not protect the same player in back-to-back nights. Predator: You can't win by playing fairly, so you've devised a cheat that allows you to scan the true identity of any one player each night phase. Flyers: You are the main heroes of the game. While you do not have any special powers, it will be your decisions during the day phase that will ultimately decide the fate of TBF. The Grey Wardens First Warden: During the first day phase, you may use your charms to sway a member of TBF to join your ranks. Warden: It is your goal to decimate TBF and in addition to causing antics during the day phases that see your enemy cannibalize itself, you get the chance to eliminate an enemy each night phase. Neutral SelfHelper: You think you are here to help your fellow nations out, but really, you just like the sound of your own voice and have no real idea what you are talking about. During one night phase, you can activate your power to post your manifesto on the GP forum that will baffle Black Flyers and Wardens alike. The activation of this power neutralizes all night phase activities for that turn. Raideron: Selected via vote on the first day phase, Raideron will be entrusted to break all tie votes and will be the main protagonist in the eyes of the narrator. Raideron, with their dying breath, will appoint their spiritual successor. Rules Day Phases will last 48 hours. Night Phases will last 24 hours. During the day phase, the players will discuss in the game thread about who should be eliminated from the game under the suspicion that they are a Warden. Votes will be cast and the player with the most votes will be eliminated from the game. Their role will be revealed. During the night phase, the Wardens get their own chance to eliminate players independent from a vote. Moves Like Jakker and Predator also get their chance to impact the game. The Black Flyers win if they successfully eliminate all Grey Wardens from the game. The Grey Wardens win if they come to equal or outnumber the remaining Black Flyers. Signups begin now and will end when I log in on Sunday, the 9th. Please be patient if phases don't end exactly on time, my schedule is subject to change at any time and I mostly work nights. If you see a phase starting, do not wait to start participating.
