The same information will be pinned in the nomination and voting subforums. I'm combining them here to give people coming in an idea of how it will work. Nominations To nominate a person, please post a reply in the thread of the award you wish to nominate them for. For instance, if you wish to nominate someone for the ‘Defender of the Year’ award, please post their name in that topic. Once that has been done, it will take another another person to second the nomination in order for it to be included in the voting. Anyone can second a nation. Once it has reached this quota, the nominations list will be updated to reflect these changes. Please make sure to check the nomination thread before you nominate someone. If they have already reached the quota needed, there is no need for you to nominate them again. That said, we seem to have acquired a tradition of people 'thirding', 'fourthing', and even fifthing' nominations - so if you really feel it is necessary, then you can. There is a nomination period of two weeks. Once these two weeks have ended, the nominations threads will be locked, and further nominations will not be accepted. Voting Nominations will close on Saturday, July 15. At this point, I will lock the nomination threads and declare voting to be open. Nominations after this date will not be considered and votes before this date will not be considered. Voting will be open from Saturday, July 15 through Saturday, July 22. To cast your vote, please send your votes (ALL in one message, please please please) via PM to Witchcraft and Sorcery on this forum. Alternatively, you can send a PM to Witchcraft and Sorcery on the forums of 10000 Islands, the South Pacific, or the Renegade Islands Alliance, or DM WynkenBlynken#2481 on Discord with your ballot. Ballots can also be sent to the nation Defender Awards 2017 on NationStates. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE only send a ballot to ONE of the above accounts, and PLEASE (notice how I'm saying this twice) have all your votes in one message. |
