Since the early days when Nationstates branched off the game-site and onto offsite properties, we’ve had offsite platform administrators who became a major part of keeping this game safe and fun for all members. Indeed, for many players who spend most of their time roleplaying or engaging in gameplay off Nationstates.net, these administrators are their primary recourse in instance of bad behavior. Despite how critical these off site administrators are, there has never been to my knowledge, a serious discussion among them about how to best operate. This Nationstates World Fair, that’s ending. Over the next week, this forum will be filled with topics for discussion aimed toward offsite platform administrators. Anyone who has a contribution, however, is more than welcome to participate. “Conference” sounds fancy and formal, but in reality this will just be an open fora for us to exchange ideas and debate best methods. At the close of the World Fair I will compile all our learnings into a “best method” document that regions can use as a reference resource. Of course, we probably won’t always agree. But even in our disagreements I suspect we will find insight. I very much look forward to it! |
