One Region's History
Established on January 9th, 2004, Europa is a diverse mosaic of all types of governments, based on the ideals of freedom and democracy. We enjoy a realist, Modern Tech, RP and offer a good community spirit. We appreciate good writing and are proud of our solid history and lore. Every year we celebrate our founding with some nice regional festivities. Many other first creations happened in 2004. Four months later the regional forum was created. Back then the RMB didn't hold more than 10 posts, so everyone was happy to have a dedicated place to continue their conversations.

We experienced our golden age between 2004-2008. A regional government was formed. Seasonal elections were held. International relations established across the nationverse. This period of high activity led to a natural influx of new members, pushing us towards 300 players. These were good times.

A Golden Age like that is usually followed by a less spectacular silver age. In Europa, this period is described by some as the "Great Lull" (2009-2014). Funny enough, it corresponds with the rise of social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Perhaps that's where everyone spent their days? While activity did not completely come to a standstill, it did slow down much. The influx of new nations was less than before. And don't forget about real-life, the harsh mistress that stole away many a writer from our midsts.

A new spark triggered the light for our Renaissance period (2015-today). This saw both the arrival of new creative spirits as well as the return of many classic colleagues. We cleaned up our act, upgraded our forums, replaced IRC with Discord and stepped up our roleplay game. All in all, 2017 has shown to be an excellent year for our community.
