You find yourself on a tropical beach beneath the blazing sun. Cool waters lap the shore and a little ways out, shimmering beneath turquoise waters, the colours of a vibrant reef can just be guessed at. Fish dart in and out of the shallows and birds sing in the nearby palm forest. It's idyllic, it really is, but it's just too damn hot!

You spy a cabana not far away and, desperate for the shade, you make your way across the burning sand. Before long the heat is making up leap between each step, turning a walking into a run into an awkward dance you hope no one else can see. Your hopes are dashed, however, when you arrive at the cabana to find it full of strangers, all staring at you with grins on their faces. You're about to turn away in shame when one of them lifts up her bare feet to show the burn marks underneath.

"You'll feel right at home here," she says with a smile.

Just beyond her stretches a worn, stained bar, fully stocked and decorated with various lampshades. A slightly grouchy bartender stands behind. Nevertheless, he manages a smile as you approach.

"What will it be?" he asks, "I can particularly recommend the SPIT*"

You pull up a barstool take a seat and place your order.

*South Pacific Iced Tea, a little like a Long Island Iced Tea but more tropical (and with completely different ingredients).

SPIT, please!
One SPIT, coming right up. It's served with a traditional South Pacifican lampshade. This one is purple silk with a teal and aqua trim and a faint iridescence of kingfisher blue.
