For those of you who might be looking for a new region to join, or simply have an itch to expand the number of people whom you RP with, we have assembled a list of ten reasons why you should join Greater Dienstad today! 1.) Greater Dienstad has existed as a region since mid-2005 (being known before that as Imperial Armies), and since that time has become a place where new RPers can come and learn how to RP in a friendly atmosphere with already established RPers. 2.) Greater Dienstad is home to the main or colony nations of five NS RP Mentors, and one ex-NS RP Mentor, who are all willing to assist you should you have questions, or just need help with RPing: - Lamoni - The Macabees - Lyras - United Gordonopia - Kylarnatia - Yohannes 3.) Greater Dienstad is home to numerous nations who have (or used to have) large, established, well known storefronts on GE&T: - Lamoni - Lyras - The Macabees - United Gordonopia - Yohannes - Sumer - Mokastana 4.) Greater Dienstad is accepting of all government types. As long as you are willing to RP, you can have a home in Greater Dienstad. 5.) While Greater Dienstad is mostly MT/NS MT focused, limited use of PMT and FT are also acceptable, as long as they fit in with the RP being conducted. 6.) Rather than have a full-fledged regional government, Greater Dienstad attempts to solve disputes within the region collegially. Both The Macabees, and Lamoni, fulfill most official regional government functions, when there is a need to do so. 7.) Nations residing inside Greater Dienstad have the right to call all other members of Greater Dienstad to help them defend their Dienstadi territories, should they come under attack from someone outside of the region. Even if the nation being attacked has an IC dispute or war with another Dienstadi nation, the entire region is expected to come to their defense. 8.) Nations within Greater Dienstad typically have complex alliance systems with other nations in the region, which can lead to challenging and unique tactical and strategic situations. In addition to that, quite a few Greater Dienstad members are active in war RPing, with many of them being known for their military power all-round the RPing corridors of NS. This facet of GD has been compared to the Greek city-states of old. 9.) Greater Dienstad has been recognized as a superior RP region, along with the likes of both Haven and Gholgoth in their prime. However, where both Haven and Gholgoth have shrunk since their primes, Greater Dienstad continues. 10.) For all of the IC animosity that certain Greater Dienstad nations might have amongst each other, we are all typically OOC friends, discussing all manner of OOC topics with one another on our RMB, on our off-site forums, and on our Discord.
