Hello and thank you to Lazarus

Hello Lazarus! My main nation is Topid (my forum account is named for my Lazarus nation), I've been the delegate of St Abbaddon for coming up on five months.

St Abbaddon is an ages old region that has been around since NS' first days. We're a historically founderless region named after an RP story arc that contained thousands of posts on IGN's sci-fi boards in 2001-2003.

I requested this embassy because St Abbaddon owes you a huge thank you! Eight months ago (whoa!) we were raided and occupied by DEN. The whole of the NS community came together to save our region, and even though they managed to empty the region, defenders were able to prevent the refound. DEN were forced to hold the region for months in pursuit of the goal of refounding this region, but the time ran out when the rampant rule breaking was exposed, and the mods freed our region as the large numbers used to hold our region were ill-gotten gains of years of victories due to illegal activities. Not only do we owe Lazarus a thank you for their involvement in the successful attempts to thwart DEN in our region, but also because once the natives had all been cleared, there was significant effort put into archiving our RMB in factbooks. This work was done by members of Lazarus, and it was an amazingly kind gesture.

Now St Abby is free, and I really appreciate everything that was done for us. We're working on rebuilding and keeping our numbers up, but I don't have all the time in the world for NS anymore. Progress is slow, but we're in a better spot now than we've been in a couple years, even if it isn't where I'd hoped to be five months in.

I look forward to working with Lazarus in the future! If you ever need anything from us, give me a shout. I'll be stopping in here from time to time to give updates.

I'm so glad that you guys have been able to recover St. Abbaddon from that extremely bleak time back a few months ago.

We really tried to do as much as we can to help you guys during that time, and all I can really say is I'm happy to see how far you guys have come and what we did was really the least we could do for you folks.

Cheers Topid! :cheers!:

We've still got quite a bit to do before I feel 'comfortable' again, mainly have some reliable people under me to watch the region and keep it going when I'm inactive. But we're not in terrible shape right now if I may say so myself. It certainly is better now than it was pre-raid.

I heard that you were going to retire again, leaving the region's future uncertain. I was quite pissed then and am glad that is not the case.

I'm doing the best I can. I ultimately doubt I will be active enough to keep our numbers up, and personally wish everyone else would have come on board with a "lock it down" plan.

One of my concerns was how my girlfriend moving in would affect my online time. That hasn't been too bad of a problem. She thinks I'm weird AF but I'm good with that. :P

I think we should be fine-ish until at least tax season. Cross that bridge when it comes I suppose.
