Lazarene Posts: 87 Group: Members Member #104 Joined: Apr 22, 2015	His speech: Resignation My fellow citizens, as many of you know a few days ago our region was attacked. It was attacked to provoke and antagonize me. It succeded. In the moments following my learning of the attack I became angry and I, in a fit of anger, stated a desire for harm against the people who lead the operation. This was in an area I thought was private, but someone screenshotted the event and sent it to Cormac, the leader of the illegitimate Government of Osiris, legally known to use as the New Osirian Order. From there Cormac posted it on their forums in a public place and posted apart of it to the NationStates Gameplay forums. Due to this I have been forced to choose between staying here as your Chancellor or staying there in the position I am in. I have thought about this long and hard, and I have come to a decision. I am stepping down as your Chancellor. I am not abandoning the region, I will remain here in case I am needed. However a leader sometimes has to make tough decisions, and this is one of those times. If I stayed the region would face a hard time continuing it's existence. It would find Foreign Affairs hard and it could very possibly find itself being attacked due to my leadership here. I can not, and will not, allow such harm to befall everyone else due to a mistake on my part. As such I am stepping down. However I am not leaving you without a new Chancellor. I am appointing Speaker Meow Zao as my successor. Now I have chosen her over the fact that she has been here for several months. She has continuously acted in the best faith for the region, and has served it well. While she might be a bit inexperienced I have my full faith in her. I would also like to thank her for her service in the region as the Speaker and also acting in our military operations. As such I have put my full faith behind her and I hope her time as our leader is prosperous. Before I step down I hereby give myself the title of Chancellor Emeritus as my final act as your Imperial Chancellor. I have enjoyed my time here and I hope you all have too. I would like to thank all of you for your help during my time as your Chancellor and I would rather not have to do this, but I must do what is best for the region. Thank-you all for this time and the experience for it wouldn't have been able to occur without you. It has been an honor to serve as your Chancellor and Governor. Signed, Chanku L.
