Hello, everybody. I am guessing most of you don't know but I am Ervald and I am new to the region. I would like to discuss the current culture of Lazarus. As we all know, it is Chinese themed and we can see that from the Mandarin on the World Factbook and our regional seal. However, when I came here, I did not feel a unique Chinese-styled culture that Lazarus have. I believe we can do more by adopting a flag that is more authentically Chinese (Or more East Asian as some people would like to say) and maybe renaming our subforums like Chinese-sounding fictional streets and places. Thoughts? |

Regional culture is more than just a theme or a picture. It's what you can do with it that defines the quality of a region's culture. |

Well, I believe in order for a culture to be interacted and developed with, it must be present and be able to be seen with the naked eye. |

While I agree with the premise of this thread, the phoenix has been the historical symbol of Lazarus going back to God knows when. |

Actually, China have the "Fenghuang" which is known as the "Chinese Phoenix". Here is some info on it. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fenghuang And if it is not comfortable with you all, we could use the Phoenix from your current coat of arm. If such an option is taken, we could add a Chinese symbol in the flag to make it look authentic, like the red sun from the Qing Dynasty flag. |
