However, I would like to see, at least, one unique festival held this term. With spam games (which we rock at), small role play, and places just for people to squirrel around and have some fun. Something to excite people, to bring them to the forums, and to get them involved. Make Use of and Optimize Dispatches and Telegrams: Our telegrams may be good, but I don't believe they're perfect by a long shot. I will work to optimize our telegrams, to make them as inviting and engaging as I can to ensure that more nations that are refounded in Lazarus stay here, and those who remain her are more likely to come join us on the forums. Dispatches are a great way to let people know what is going on, and not just the people in our own region but people all over NationStates. If we can make effective use of dispatches, and get a dedicated group of upvoters to support the effort, we can reach active and involved peoples across the site, and attract them to the region. During my term, if I am elected, we will experiment to figure out a strategy for getting our dispatches to be engaging, and for getting them the highest number of upvotes possible. Recruiting: I don't personally feel like we should be actively recruiting from other regions, and I feel that if we engage enough on the RMB and with the nations that are refounded within Lazarus via telegram and dispatch that we won't have to. We'll be able to bring enough of our regional population to the forums to make recruiting unnecessary. The Gang of Five Trial: This was kind of a debacle. It dragged on and it should not have done so. If I am elected I will appoint active justices who will seek a swift and fair verdict. Foreign Affairs: Expand Our Sphere: I believe that Roger started on this in his term by approaching Balder about a renewal of relationships, or at least an end to the cold war that has existed, and I think that's a good first step. While we should not carte blanc forgive the missteps of the past we need to be willing to look beyond them to rebuild ourselves on an interregional stage. I will continue us on this path, approaching quietly the regions I feel could benefit us from a renewal, or an opening of channels that have never existed before. I believe continuing talks with Balder, as well as renewing or establishing a relationship with some of the feeders, and by approaching some established UCRs that we have traditionally not had diplomatic relations with. The LLA: I have no plans to interfere in the LLA. I will appoint a competent commandant, and allow them to run the LLA. The only time I will get involved is if the LLA falls inactive and the Commandant is not doing all they can to remedy the situation. It's not much, but there is my platform. I'm more than happy to answer any questions you have for me, and I hope to be able to win your support.
