Gang of Five Ruling: What Now?

Files were charged against "the Gang of Five" (as one person) in late September...and it's December now. The Chief Justice presiding over the case has resigned, judgement has been delayed thrice over, and the initial trial was remarkably disorganized to begin with.

What's the plan now?

So, Milo...... Do you want a trial?
Yes.

I place my honest faith in you and this new Humane Republican system to strive -- keyword strive -- towards making this trial fair and balanced.

I have no doubt nor misunderstanding that this will be difficult for some, but I encourage your best efforts.

I feel the objective consideration of both facts and law, removed from the emotional fervent moments that the prosecution draws its perspective of, will vindicate me, and perhaps the others accused as well. Though I can't speak to whether that will be true if the court chooses to treat us as one person -- when we are in fact five unique individuals -- I open myself to your conception of justice. Let's see how it fairs.

When and how will we proceed?

Just wondering if the Court will permit a 'public gallery' for citizens to comment on case proceedings?

I hope you're not waiting for the updated ULC to pass before making a ruling.

I would like to wait for the other justices to comment

It's already been one-hundred-and-six days. I don't see much of a difference, though I'd certainly like to proceed.

Belschaft has left the region, forfeiting his citizenship and his position as Grand Judge. I won't say he was deliberately dragging his feet on this matter, but it seems clear his heart wasn't in it. Constie, Funkadelia and Powthran will have to resolve this matter now, and I would very much like it to be resolved quickly.

Funkadelia should recuse himself, for a rather obvious conflict-of-interests. There's a plethora of other Lazarene capable of partaking in this trial: having someone so resentful of the accused only serves to raise unnecessary questions about the legitimacy of these proceedings.

What Lazarene doesn't have a conflict of interest in this case? :P
