Good day my fellow Lazarenes, As some of you may know, I am seeking election for the position of Director of Ceremonies This is indubitably not a role which necessitates ambitious vision but rather leans more towards the administrative side of politics. I have in my current capacity as Deputy to the Director been required on occasion to fulfil the duties of the Director. As such, I believe that I have amassed experience and knowledge to exercise the powers of this office with competency. Naturally, I feel compelled to detail my plan should I be elected: It is my intention to, at the commencement of each week, produce a 'government gazette' which will be distributed amongst Assembly members. Notably, this gazette will contain many similarities with the current 'Lazarene Record' in respects that it will feature recent news on discussions, votes, and the like. However, as opposed to the current and admittedly flawed 'Record', the Gazette will be published once a week. Thereby allowing more effort to be focused on a periodic publication. Contrastingly, the Gazette will be distributed on the forum in a thread which provides more freedom to publish greater amounts and more in-depth information. I will, as did Gulliver, open up nominations for the Deputy Director of Ceremonies immediately, if not soon after this election. Depending on the number of nations who expressed interest, the number of Deputies may fluctuate from 2-4. I will revise the legislative procedure to provide for more flexibility in the event of the Director's absence — in the sense that Deputies may commence discussion/voting/vote-closure as soon as it is required. It is my belief that this a beneficial amendment to the current practices as it translates to a more seamless operation of the Grand Assembly. Well, there you go Ladies and Gentlemen An incredibly drab and mind-bogglingly boring 'campaign'. I do sincerely hope that you will consider voting for me. As always, I am open to any questions/suggestions/blistering critiques you may have AMA |

You've got my vote and my endorsement, Amerion. I believe you to be an excellent candidate for a number of offices in this region, but for now, we need a good DoC. Good luck! |
