As I have just been elected Minister Steward, it is time to talk about who will be the co-editor the Lazarene Gazette.

The Church of Satan has come forward as a possible co-editor, so is anyone else interested in being up in the running for the position of co-editor.

Basically co-editor means that you are here to help edit and revise articles and issues of the Lazarene Gazette before they go out into the wider-NS world in form of regional updates, and in some exceptional circumstances when the head editor is not present to do what needs to be done to get the issue out.

I think COS would make a good member of the editorial team, knowing what I do about him. I'd also like to put myself forward; I have IRL journalism experience, spending three years working for a magazine whilst a student, including one year as Comment Editor. I'm familiar with all the necessary duties such as fact checking, editing, writing editorials, etc etc.

I will leave this thread open for people to come forward till 6pm tonight EST (or 10 PM UTC), then put up a poll for vote.*

*Said poll will not determine who becomes co-editor, but will just help me make a more informed decision.

Seems like both choices are good, experienced members, but both are slightly controversial. The way editors should be, in my opinion.

I'm unaware of Belschaft's talents in this regard, so I can't really form an opinion on it. So I'm controversial now? Hmmm...I can dig it. ^_^

Well, at least with the pissed off imperialists I saw ranting against your last article.

Yeah but Onder does that with everyone that writes an article about imperialists. It's a love-hate relationship between him and the journalists of NS. :P

I can't really decide between Belschaft and The Church of Satan, as both would be indispensable on the editing team. :|

The way around this would be if Belschaft becomes co-editor, and The Church of Satan assistant editor; unless we have two co-editor positions - which would make it easier.

We can make that happen, and since the Gazette isn't an entirely independent newspaper, the last say would belong to the Minister Steward in case of an instance when these two would be in disagreement. (An instance I would surmise will happen soon enough :P )

Although, as per my personal judgment, it seems to me Bel has a more neutral tone fit to an editor, CoS' is more passionately opinionated which isn't bad at all because we will need some controversial spice every now and then. These two might just perfectly balance each other out.
