The election for the position of Pharaoh and by extension the Delegacy of Osiris is neck to neck. The candidates are current Vizier Ainocra and co-founder Koth. At the time of writing, Ainocra is narrowly leading Koth 10-9. It's a tight race and right now, it's anybody's guess as to who will win. *so exciting *hyperventilating *faints from excitement |

Osiris happened several months after Lazarus, which still did not stop people -- like Ravania and Campinia -- who had supported the purge of imperialists from Lazarus from being massively butthurt about the purge of Empire and defenders from Osiris. Yay hypocrisy. Edited by Cormac, Jul 13 2015, 08:53 PM.

First, most RL military coups happen as a result of a situation of disorder, which can easily be called anarchy. OFO was/is an NS version of a military coup feeding on a situation of anarchy, which is different from a political coup when an elected delegate goes rogue. The fact its purge was NS-military-inspired, banning defenders with no form of trial. Only confirms the fact that it is/was a military coup. Secondly I was never a member of Lazarus during the PRL-period. You see, stop making up your truth and believing it's the truth. |

When Osiris was set up I suspected from the start that it would be fought over by raiders/invaders and defenders, and never have any real stability as a result. Osiris was set up with no faction having a solid advantage over the other, and political games and maneuvering deciding who took power. It was never allowed to develop independently as a region (and thus rule by popular mandate), or have a dominant faction that maintained stability and allowed easy transfers of power from one administration to another. Wouldn't be surprised if Osiris had further issues down the road, but you can live in hope, at least till the election is over. It was tolerable, even if I had reservations over it. Lazarus has had plenty of changes of power, but losing people that have been here awhile wasn't easy. But compared to purges in other regions, it was relatively mild. I didn't outright support (or condemn, that's true) the actions of Phoenix King Feux. And I only came to Lazarus after he abdicated to Harmoneia. Edited by Campinia, Jul 14 2015, 05:51 PM.

I'm pretty sure I was more or less the only person who condemned both the OFO and the PRL as coup/purges, as most of NS either condemned or supported one or the other due to gameplay alignment. I was also less than happy with Asta's unilateral dissolving of the KRO, and persuaded her to hold a plebiscite in regards to the matter. |
