If you're reading this, you're probably interested in what qualifies me to be Speaker, so I'll cut to the chase. While we have a working constitution, there is not lots of works to be done in establishing statutory laws, legislative procedures, and even touching up parts that we've missed. In this area I have a wealth of experience which I would like to put to use for the region. Most recently I put forth the starter draft for our constitution, many elements of which were incorporated into the final draft. But in the past I've only contributed to the constitution of the East Pacific, and as Speaker of the North Pacific spearheaded sweeping constitutional and legal reforms. During my time as Speaker, I also reorganized and streamlined record keeping, setting up Google document and automatic scripts that continue to be used today. As a member of the now defunct People's Congress I never had much of a chance to legislate anything, but as Speaker I'd like to use my experience to help continue the work we started with our constitution and put clean, well organized laws for legislative procedures, the criminal code and judicial proceedings on the books. I'd like to start office of Speaker out on the right foot by laying a solid groundwork of records and bookkeeping practices. That's about all I have to say to start. If you have any questions, ask away. |

Do you envision the speaker's role as playing an active part in pushing the legislature to activity, or as more of a facilitators role? A hybrid of the two? What would you say is your highest legislative priority not yet discussed. |

Facilitating comes first, but once that's set up and done the Speaker should take a role in seeking out areas of law that are lacking and setting an agenda in the absence of one. Assuming by not discussed you mean no outstanding proposal right now, I'd say election laws. |

What is your highest priority for this new legistlature? What are you going to do to help make it active and effective? |

My highest priority is establishing a foundation of clear procedures and recording keeping for smooth functioning that my successors will inherit. |
