Our official state newspaper has released a new piece regarding Lazarus' transition away from socialism and towards a more mainstream democracy. Admittedly, this news is bittersweet for the People's Republic of Warzone Asia, but if it is the will of the enlightened proletariat to turn away from socialist themes, we will support them. A little clipping from the article:

I love the reference in the title Great movie. Definitely bittersweet for some of us well, myself especially. Very few of us saw the PRL from its very start, apparently fewer of us with good intentions. But the time I put into building the region is something that I am proud to have put in. I truly hope we can continue our strong relationship with Warzone Asia into the future. |

I would have liked to keep the old theme too, regardless I feel things will go well under Mandate 9. |

I'm glad someone got the joke. I'd been waiting to use it for awhile. It's weird, because the PRWA was based a great deal on the PRL. It's just another sign of how vibrant and weird and wonderful the NS community is that an experimental government in a Warzone turns out to outlive its inspiration. Regardless of ideological or political divisions, I believe in that community. I believe in the efforts put in by the players behind the screen, and in the collective spirit of the community that has arisen as a result. I believe that the NS community is alive and well in Lazarus. I may have mixed feelings and personal biases about these changes, but I believe that this community can make them work if it so chooses, and I most definitely want to be a part of that, and want the community I represent to be a part of that. |

To be fair, I would have been perfectly content to keep the People's Republic if it was not trashed by the NPO and the coup. I was involved nearly from the start too, so it was a lot of personal work I had put into it that was all being thrown away. I think that this change is just as good of a shift, and like you said, it's all about the community. |
