Since we're probably dropping the Communist vibe, what would people like instead? |

What does this mean? Is it political or just cultural? I wouldn't mind, as long as there is democracy. |

The underworld theme seems fine. And it doesn't need to be specific to any culture. |

So I'm just going to throw some ideas around for my own amusement. The Underworld theme needs something to compete with We could perhaps smash together Steampunk setting with the French Revolution? The region casting out its royalty (old Lazarus made inactive by the imperials) and the bourgeoisie (NPO interests who soaked up regional influence for themselves). Being the righteous people we are, we name our new republic Lazarus after Saint Lazarus of Bethany. Post-Revolutionary 18th Century Republic. No steampunk in this one and I'd think of it more like a fresh America, but with a better constitutional document than the articles of Confederation We could a lot with ultra-patriotism and crank out awesome propaganda like the PRL used to. I know we're looking to be more cosmopolitan, but I figure I should suggest at least 1 regionalist idea. A Nationalist Lazarus where one has to be a WA resident to get full citizenship. We'd develop a very unique to Lazarus culture and concentrate on the assimilation of immigrants into becoming more Lazarene. We'd show up to any inter-regional event we could and really try our hardest to prove Lazarus is the best region. Very militarily focused, but not necessarily defender. Perhaps a real try at NS colonialism for the first time in years. Perhaps a Game of Thrones sort of theme? Prominent Lazarenes form Houses and we all compete for the throne/delegacy. Since we don't really recruit I guess people can choose which House they wish to join upon entry. Perhaps give each house a primary focus like I think the districts did in the PRL. Of course I think this region would be more RP oriented than many of us are used to. |

I like the first two ideas, and the second best. Taijitu already has a French Revolution theme and with Funkadelia and Gulliver playing such prominent roles in the new government, and Eluvatar playing such a prominent role in the anti-coup efforts, I'd hate to give people the wrong idea. The second idea is fresh and interesting as well, and as a big fan of 1700s USA it appeals to me. |

I will actually personally say that I'm not such a big fan of undead. Don't really know why, but it just doesn't appeal to me. I'll throw out some ideas when I think them up. On BTs ideas, the one that I would actually like to play around with might be the nationalist one, only I think we could think of creating a nationalist defender region. I don't know how exactly, but still. We could even trying to build UCRs that could be part of a "greater lazarus". Not conquer UCRs mind you, but build them from scratch. Likewise, the undead isn't particularly welcoming I really like the post French Rev theme though |

Please do not do French Revolution. We would basically be directly ripping off Taijitu. Almost to a T.
I don't see how that would be sustainable. Especially where sinkers are way more inactive than feeders. Edited by Funkadelia, Apr 30 2015, 01:06 AM.

I like Kazmr's idea without the UCR part |

The UCR part was maybe a bit over the top, I agree |

Damn. The one I like the most is the most rejected (thanks Taijitu) and the one I liked 2nd least is the most popular |
