The military

I fully intend on still having a military for Lazarus when we are through rebuilding.

There are two contentions, in my mind, for the military.

We could keep Lazarene Liberation Army. Despite being the Communist style military (based off of the Chinese People's Liberation Army), the argument for keeping it is that it is literally the army that liberated Lazarus, and it has historical value in that regard.

On the other hand, the last time we had an undead/underworld style theme, the military was the Undead Hordes, which sounds totally bad ass and jives with the theme.

Do we want this in the Constitution even?

Discuss.

I honestly want to stick with LLA. For one, it has the tradition that you mentioned. Additionally, I think the name is still kosher. For a defending army (provided of course we keep that :P ), the name makes perfect sense.

I rather like the LLA name, especially after they literally had to fight to liberate the region.

I agree with this, though I do think Undead Hordes is a cool name. Though, to be honest, it sounds raider so there's that.

The only thing we lose by dropping the PRL theme is the pun of LLA being a stereotypical Chinese mispronounciation of RRA ... Which I don't think was intentional, but with Milograd who knows?

Come on I can't be the only one that made that connection?

LLA has become a 'brand' so don't discard it easily, maybe a subtle change to Lazarus Liberty Army or something...

I agree with B. Thomas.

Why not just Lazarus Army? Or something else admittedly mundane but also simple. Simple is sometimes underrated.

I also think keeping the LLA is keeping a part of the PRL, which I thought we were moving past. We can still respect the past while moving on.

I'm not hugely a fan of diving into military affairs, and think it should wait until later, but maybe that's just me. I think it receives too much attention when the focus should really be at home for the foreseeable future.

If there's anything that we should hang on to from The PRL, it is the LLA. It now has a fierce history that has actually fought for its home. It's existence in this form speaks volumes not only of its members, but of the dedication and resolve the natives of Lazarus have for their home. We should not throw this away.
