Cormac for High Sepulchre; Q&A

I'm going to do this more as a Q&A thread than a platform, because I would like to hear from others what they would like to see the High Sepulchre working on and find out what questions they have for me.

That said, a little bit about myself for those who don't know me: I've been playing NationStates since 2012, I've served in a number of legislatures and governmental positions, and I've written three constitutions (in Osiris) as well as written or contributed to the drafting of constitutions and laws in many regions and on many different topics. So what I can say for sure is that I'm qualified to serve in the High Sepulchre and that legislation has been my main area of focus in NS for years now.

If I'm elected to the High Sepulchre, I can promise -- and many people can vouch for this -- that I'm active daily, so there's never going to be a situation in which things are held up waiting for me to comment or vote on something. I also believe very much in Lazarus' current direction, so I'll be looking to work with the rest of the High Sepulchre, the King, the Regent, etc., in a cooperative way so we can all move Lazarus forward together. No divisive politicking and posturing.

I'd like to wish Wrektopia and Demonos the best of luck, and I'll be happy to answer any questions.

Given that we're cutting it pretty tight between this "special election" and the end of the term for the High Sepulchre, activity and engagement between our Councillors within this next two weeks will be vital and may even go towards your campaigning for the next term (if you chose to run).

Though our High Sepulchre has made some strides, we still have several things to address in terms of policy, procedure, and reform. Looking over the current state of our region's laws, do you have any ideas in regard to what you may try to bring to the table if elected?

How many seconds do you plan on spending each day in Lazarus on average?

Just off the top of my head, it looks like we could use an election law, which would probably be the first thing I'd be working on. You've done fine just determining procedure for this one, but in the case of a contentious election it's good to have procedure established by the law to fall back on so no one can complain about bias, etc.

I've also noticed that the High Sepulchre never did address the lack of a procedure for treaty dissolution, so that's something I would want to address sooner rather than later as well. We don't want to need to dissolve a treaty and be unsure how to go about that, or even if we can.

Aside from that, I look forward to discussing with you and Funk and anyone else what we need to do. I'm not always the best with coming up with ideas, but what I am good at is taking someone's more abstract idea and putting it into legislation, so I'll be glad to hear input from others and draw up some legislation based on that.

If you say you're on daily then why does the nation that you linked on your forum account Cormactopia II hasn't had any activity for over 17 days?

I don't know much about you so I figure you might have another nation in Lazarus that you use as your main.

My main isn't in Lazarus. I really don't do much game-side stuff and I'm much more involved off-site (on forums and Discord), to be honest, but that's something I'll work on.

Am I correct in hearing you wrote three constitutions for Osiris? Did the first two function that badly? x)
