So I am tired of the pass-repeal-pass-repeal loop that the GA currently has itself in. I propose to write a resolution that would prohibit resolutions from being repealed for a brief period of time. I am not proposing we ban repeals altogether but make it harder for legislation to be struck down within the first week of its passage. Thoughts?

And before anyone says it can not be done I would hope that you take a look and read this whole thread.

I don't see much point in this. Resolutions rarely have to deal with real opposition aiming to repeal it unless there are serious issues with the resolutions. Your best bet is to muster delegates together that share your aim, or are willing to subvert the GA, which, for whatever reason, has a lot of enemies out there.

As it stands, Demonos has been traveling throughout the regions to discover allies for the aforementioned purpose. This isn't going to be done in a fortnight but the aim is to have a resolution in place by 2018. I think right now the key is to find members of the GA who have been betrayed or are unhappy with GenSec. I have already run into Separatist Peoples and they were very wary of our suggestions. So far a couple of Admins have rallied around the idea and are pointing Demonos to Dark corners of NS. So far such suggestions have been fruitful but are very difficult to pursue.

We will be drafting a resolution soon. Stay Tuned.

passing repealing then passing a slightly edited version then repealing then passing etc is basically what the GA does now, rn its on marriage stuff next month it might be on gun control. But from what I've seen this is basically just how the GA works nowadays.

Any progress towards further inhibition of the General Assembly's powers is okay with me.

I hope you keep us posted with your drafting.

Mining Diamonds since 1986.
If I were a WA delegate, I'd vote for it.

Yea and are you okay with them behaving like this? You and I could help improve the GA and its weight of authority. Right now it remains indecisive and has been wanting of structural improval. GenSec does not want to do this rule because I think GenSec is responsible for making the GA impotent in the first place.
