You've claimed in the past that there was (paraphrasing) "such a great need" to waive length of debate and voting periods, and those instances seem paltry compared to what is currently happening within the region. So why do you feel more comfortable with a longer debate/voting period now but not then?

It is DIRECTLY related to this thread and the time periods set in place, so this is definitely the proper place to discuss this. I'm not asking in general, I'm being very specific about THIS specific instance. Also, how will I know truly how long I have to decide on a nomination if it's questionable how long this will last. Without an answer to that question, I cannot properly nominate someone for this specific nomination. So I'll wait for someone in leadership to try to answer my question logically.
