Regarding Our Mandate; A discussion on reform

It has been blatantly apparent the last several months that our region has been stricken with discrepancies, ambiguities, and just all around problems regarding our Mandate. Over the last week or so that has been taken into account via a discussion on direct reform, or rewriting, of our constitution entirely. This is something I would like to address before the Council, so that we may collaborate and swiftly decide what we are to do. There is no question that we need some sort of action to rewrite our Mandate, but this presents quite the crossroads for our region, especially considering the recent events regarding the coup conspiracy.

Multiple people have proposed a change in theme, perhaps even a reform to the structure of the region. I know a lot of us have ideas, but in the end we certainly need a plainly written, efficient, and effective constitution so that we do not run into the multiple issues we have recently again.

Talk.

Personally I don't like the undead theme. It just doesn't fit Lazarus. Maybe Osiris, but definitely not Lazarus, Laz is too beautiful to be made into an undead theme.

Lazarus went longer than you'd think with an undead theme in the past.

The region is named after a literal zombie. :P

An undead theme is absolutely beautiful, my dear fellow.

I like the undead theme. It's familiar without resorting to tired tropes and cliches about zombies and spookers.

I think the implemented suggestions make a lot of things work better and I definitely like the name of the legislature better personally. It has a more dignified feel to it.

I'd like to motion to vote.
Are you fucking kidding me? This is a big discussion, stop trying to rush it. 18 minutes is a tiny window for everyone to read the new draft and discuss it. Hell, I can't even read it properly now before work.

Edit: Also, no Convenor at the moment.
So, actually we have a clause in our legislative procedures for times exactly like this that states the following:
Quote:

(6) If more than 48 hours have passed since a motion to vote has been seconded and no vote has been scheduled, the citizen who introduced the motion to vote may schedule a vote on the proposal.

Funk has implemented pretty much all of the major suggestions you and others have made and no one has really supplied any further constructive criticisms, including yourself, to keep the discussion going.

Anyway, I think that 48 hour period ends this evening and can be legally put to a vote then.

Aren't we meant to be in the voting stage of the Conveyer already?
