It has been blatantly apparent the last several months that our region has been stricken with discrepancies, ambiguities, and just all around problems regarding our Mandate. Over the last week or so that has been taken into account via a discussion on direct reform, or rewriting, of our constitution entirely. This is something I would like to address before the Council, so that we may collaborate and swiftly decide what we are to do. There is no question that we need some sort of action to rewrite our Mandate, but this presents quite the crossroads for our region, especially considering the recent events regarding the coup conspiracy. Multiple people have proposed a change in theme, perhaps even a reform to the structure of the region. I know a lot of us have ideas, but in the end we certainly need a plainly written, efficient, and effective constitution so that we do not run into the multiple issues we have recently again. Talk. |

Sorry, meant to say "lore". Iirc we've had conflicts with lore and law in previous mandates. |

I like Dralls. Funks proposed plan has too much power in a person that can't be taken out of power. I don't like it. |

When has the alternative ever worked for Lazarus? Look where we are now, and then take a look at Balder and Osiris - our sister sinkers. |

We were fine until Funk pulled this card out of his sleeve and ruined the beautiful Lazarus I used to love. |

The Lazarus that was going to be couped by this so called "La Resistance," that Funkadelia rescued us from? Ha, you are funny. |

I am funny IRL thanks for the compliment! But I wasn't trying to be funny. |

But iirc with a vote from the Council of Rot they can be removed, I would also suggest that it be changed to 2/3 of a vote from the council, and again that the council be all citizens. This will mean 2/3 of the citizens can impeach the king... I feel that is a good setup! |

I'm not sure that the lore/theme references in Funk's proposal is the equivalent of the convoluted mess and literal RP terminology rampant throughout our current Mandate. Regardless of the theme and the names, the language is pretty plainly written and isn't full of contradictions and ambiguous references to powers that are basically RP. |

The last decade and a half as it happens. Lets look at Balder, its pretty inactive. They're had a few drives for activity but it never pans out. Rach calls into GP now and again to remind the world she's still alive. Lets look at TRR on the other hand, stable sinker with a similar system to our current one. Bad examples that man.
Read my big long post and then try the 'contradictions and ambiguous references' thing again |

You're such an old man! 1. Balder is extremely active on the interior. Their only problem is their FA, which is why everyone perceives it as inactive. Their discord is extremely active and annoying (I left it a while back) and there is always stuff going on in the forums. 2. "Coupland" lol I laughed but let's be real, Osiris hasn't had a legitimate constitutional monarchy until Cormac couped last year. Since then, they've been doing pretty good. No risk of coups, and pretty solid activity. 3. Who likes TRR that much? |
