[Discussion] Appeals in the Celestial Inquisitorial Court

Article IV of the Judicial Code ( in the Unified Legal Code) lays out a process for appealing a decision of the Court.

However, SS.3, S.7, Article IV of the Celestial Mandate Act states that the 'judgement of the Court in all such cases shall be final and conclusive.'

One can contend that the Mandate means that once a decision has been handed down by the Court, it cannot be appealed as it is 'final and conclusive.' However, to interpret it as such would be somewhat unfair considering that the Court can very well err on the law.

How should we address what is arguably a contradiction? Should we amend the Mandate to strike or rephrase that particular subsection? Or should we interpret it as meaning that a Court can very well decide to revisit a matter as it is the supreme judicial authority of the Union?

It is my view that while these cases are considered "final and conclusive," it is also up to the Court, as outlined in the Unified Legal Code, to decide to revisit these cases to finalize their conclusive judgment.

It is also my view that appeals should be limited to those that include new evidence that was not introduced or not considered by the Court, rather than those seeking to hang up the courts by way of extreme litigiousness.
