Constie for Defender of the Realm: A real action plan. Now, before Lamb and Funkadelia start laughing at this thread, I think that it is important that we only look forward in this election, not back. As many people have said, reminiscing and complaining will not bring the PRL or HRL back to us. Therefore, I am asking you for a second chance to institute an action plan for Lazarus. So what do we do? Rethinking the Archdiocese: It has become clear that the Archdiocese have become massive failures. So here is my simple proposal: Institute a Civil Service Program: The Civil Service would allow people to join the Archdiocese where their talent can best be used for the betterment of the region. Applicants would be asked questions that relate to each of the Committees and placing them in the committee that they most alignment. The Defender of the Realm and the Archbishops would be responsible for running the the Civil Service. Endotarting awards and gameside competitions: As constantly noted, there is a large disconnect between the Lazarene Gameside and Forumside. To solve this, we need to encourage government sponsored programs to increase gameside involvement in the region, and start recruiting these people for forumside activites. What I propose is for us to have flag and art competitions gameside, and recruit those people to join the forums. The possibilities are endless, as we could have short story competitions and other things. What I also propose is the start of an Endotarting discussion, and the implementation of a program much like we see in TNP with the World Assembly Development Program, which rewards people for endotarting. Staying Active Staying active has never been a problem for me, I have been continuously active for 3 years on this site, with only short breaks for a few days. Needless to say, I'm here to stay. So yeah, that's my platform and my ideas for Lazarus. I could go on more about region wide telegrams or integration, but all we need to do is put in the effort to make these things happen. And I will. |

One could say that the Ministries are under the executive, so the Vice Delegate helping out with the Civil Service is the role of the VD. On security, I am 4th in the region for endorsements, with over 50 thousand SPDR. In the event of an emergency, I can keep the region safe. |

Even then, the Mandate only states that you're basically just serving as a stand-in for the Sovereign when necessary. The 'helping the Sovereign with stuff' bit I said, is just an interpretation that I'm making myself, knowing how some VD's operate in regions. |

That is an interpretation I tend to agree with. The central point is: the Vice Delegate doesn't do much currently and it can do so much more. So lets make it do more. |

So would you push an amendment in the Cosmic Council for additional roles to be added for the DOTR? |

I would. I would allow the Convenor and the DotR accept citizenship applications. |

Yes, you may have some endorsements and influence, but isn't that also the requirement of the Guardians? What actual security advantages would you bring to the table if you were elecetd?
I fundamentally disagree with this because it removes the high level of discretion that Delegates are generally afforded to ensure the region is not being subverted by suspicious applicants, or people are not fully filling out their applications. When you include more people in the process, there is an exponentially higher chance for error. As it stands, the Sovereign is allowed to designate a person(s) to accept applications in their stead. |

I know the regional Controls system very well, and out of those running for Defender of the Realm with a platform, I have the most endorsements and I am the closest one to the Delegacy. So, I have a big advantage over the other candidates who have posted a platform. |

Killer kitty has many more endorsements than you. |

Killer Kitty also hasn't posted a campaign thread. Unfairly or not, that would seem to signal his interest in the position. I don't wish to see the role of Sovereign diminished in order to increase the power and prestige of the offices of Defender of the Realm or Convenor. What I'm looking for in a DotR is a steady, law-abiding hand capable of serving as Sovereign, and just as capable of staying out of the way otherwise. DotR is a Sovereign in the Wings, so I'll ask you -- what would you do as Sovereign? |

That's easy. You continue the policies of the last Sovereign, in order to politically stabilize the region. Also, you have to make sure you are ready to assume the Delegacy when the time calls so there is no long transition. |
