Hello, everyone. I come before you now in hopes that you will elect me as Delegate of Lazarus for another time. I believe we have reached a critical point in the course of the direction of this region, and I believe that I can bring the change necessary to "pull up," so to speak. Firstly, I feel I should address my last departure from the office before looking to the future. During my last time (as the inaugural holder of the office), I ended up resigning before my term was over. I have said it before, and I will say it again now: there were several personal reasons that necessitated my resignation from the office, and now, almost two years later, my situation has changed significantly, and I am ready to take office again. Now, obviously Lazarus has been absolutely dead for several months, and I think we all have to come to terms with our involvement in that. However, there are several things we can change about it, and I have some plans that can be executed fairly quickly to get us back on track. Firstly, we need to begin with recruitment drives. And not those half assed ones we have done in the past. We need to establish a rapport with people in the region. RMB posts, telegrams, whatever it takes to get people to join our forum and join the community. This leads me to something else I feel we've been lacking a lot -- contact with our gameside. It doesn't take me to say that it's not just us up in our ivory tower, there's five thousand people in the region! We've got to be talking to them and building a community around our relationships. When I was delegate the first time in 2014, I was able to name almost all the active WA nations and RMB posters, and I think everyone around here should be up to that, and if we can build an actual community around this sort of connection, we'll only be stronger for it. And that brings me to another aspect of my vision, which is to build an actual identity for Lazarus. We're going to have to forge an identity for the region of Lazarus, and through our new efforts in community building, I'm confident we will be able to do just that. Depending on the interest in it, I would like to restart the Lazarene Gazette. This is something that I am honestly not too confident in the success of, but obviously we will have to gauge the interest in that to see if it's feasible. I might be a little to busy writing for real life stuff to contribute, but if I can, I will. In terms of our military, it has obviously fallen into great disrepair. I believe we will have to have a conversation about whether we want to remain a GP nation. If we do indeed decide to remain a region with a military, then I will work closely with current THI members to reinvigorate the military, and hopefully these efforts coupled with our internal recruitment efforts will bolster the military numbers, and we can get new people involved in the process. That's most of my current priorities. I think the most important parts are internal recruitment and talking to people on the gameside. Please post any questions in this thread because I would love to answer them and clarify any unclear points of my thread. |

You have some good ideas, I only hope you can carry through with them. |

Thank you. I really don't know how to properly communicate how dedicated I am to trying to see this through. All I can say is that I've been here for almost half a decade, and I'm still here and I'm ready to work. |

In terms of recruitment, you said that internal recruitment is important. Will this include or focus on the retention and integration of nations that have been refounded recently in Lazarus but soon leave to other regions? I like the ideas, good luck. |

Yes, certainly. I intend on having as persuasive a welcome telegram as possible, and I will look to aggressively retain new nations and try to get them on the forums as well. |

Other as well as myself in the current THI, are concerned over your interest in dissolving the regional military. Instead, we wish to see the name changed, so that it's not a laughing stock to other liberators, and recruitment amoung citizens to be a even more focus, for them to take up arms and join. Also making a task of returning our military to its former glory as a renowned major professional liberator force, able to protect regions who can't defend themselfs from invasions. I personally have a few good ideas. Though idk if I can run for the position to be head of our forces yet with my recent renewed citizenship, but I'm sure the other THI personnel would agree that we wish to continue our work. I think it would be a mis-characterization to say that I have an "interest" in dissolving the military. My point was that I thought it would be worthy of discussion if we even wanted to remain in GP due to our anemic progress on that front. If we want to continue to have a military, as I already outlined in my original post, then I will work closely with the miltiary establishment to continue to recruit for that. I also really don't think a name is the cause of our military being a "laughing stock," I think the lack of activity does that job easily enough. |

Well the name itself has actually brought derision from members of other militaries. I don't think that's what matters though. What needs to happen is better recruitment or at least better organizational skills on the military front. The THI has indeed been neglected for a long time now with Aumelodia trying to train a bunch of new people by himself and being the only person to actually attempt to recruit people. Now I do acknowledge that I myself haven't helped too much with that, but I would like to see a greater emphasis on the THI by the government. |

The name is at least a good portion of why we're a laughing-stock. |

Firstly, I have nothing to do with the name, that's not my decision, nor is it mine to change it. But I really don't think that a name could really make something a "laughing stock." I guarantee I could make a defending group called the "little bunny fufu's running through the forest" but if it was a good defending group that had good, competent people, and could train new people well, then everyone would be bouncin' on me. All I'm saying is that conditions need to be improved if we are going to keep this established. |
