Loftegen for Sovereign

A special election is upon us, and I am once more running for the office of Sovereign.

What can you expect from me if I am elected? Wacky antics, amusing hijinks, fun polls, and a Sovereign who is actual on and posting every day! Wouldn't that be a pleasant change? Might even spur some activity, which some say has been lacking of late.

Questions are welcome!

Your past means nothing when for months you have literally done nothing in the region until you've seen opportunity in power gameside. Your history in the region doesn't build a rapport with those that are here now and attempting to use it as a crutch for your campaign is pretty cheap. I'd appreciate if you clarified the rest of my statement and I'll get a reply back to you tomorrow. :D

It seems no one is really bringing up the most recent happenings, so let me do it. I understand that you're now playing off your most recent in-game delegacy as a goof and for some reason thought it was going to spur some sort of productive activity in the region, but let's look at the facts.
Lamb

You became delegate and immediately changed the WFE in a way that portrayed you as the head of state and commanded residents to endorse you. You also proceeded to go onto every GCR's RMB that we have an embassy with and hint that you were 'couping' Lazarus. In addition to that, you removed BC from Doperland (the rightful Sovereign at the time), meaning there was no one who had BC other than yourself in the region. Though you count this as an overreaction to your spoof, it required a call to defender allies and a region-wide telegram to have residents unendorse you and prop-up the next highest endorsement nation in the region because it was clear you had no intention on respecting the proper procedures or government officials of the region.

Actually it was asking them to endorse me...and Doperland. Also, changing the WFE isn't a crime. As for the embassy postings, I'd say you're the one who over-reacted: you talk about stimulating activity; I actually went and did it.

I want Lazarus to get out of this slump that seems to have just gotten deeper and deeper, but I don't think that warrants completely undermining everything we've worked to establish thus far, whether you think it needs to stay or not. You have a history of abusing your in-game position when possible and it's unclear how you will act, if elected, once your term ends.

What have you established, but an inactive region? Funk didn't even bother to post a link to his campaign thread on the RMB. He's already failing in his stated goal of engaging the gameside. As for what I'd do when my term ends, I'll probably hand the office over to my duly elected successor - just like I did last time!

Lamb

Lazarus does need some fun, but it also needs people who are willing to put in the work. You've only come around recently and really, haven't seemed to put any effort in to do any actual work or push for any progress in our region. We need some more engagement on the gameside, sure, but that's the least of our worries.

When I was delegate, I put in lots of work. When I left office, I avoided the spotlight to give my successor a chance to shine. I'm curious, though, what worries you more than engaging the gameside?

Regardless of how you attempt to spin this, you performed several actions and explicitly made statements implying that you were undermining the legitimate government of Lazarus. Changing the WFE to manipulate unsuspecting residents into thinking you were the rightful head of state goes along with that. Check the ULC for the bit on High Treason. Potential charges that you've mocked on the RMB already and something you're clearly trying to avoid via your recent legal inquiry.

You still haven't accounted for taking border control away from Doperland, which was clearly a move to take any sort of power away from legitimate government officials. You also didn't acknowledge the RMB spamming you did on allied and other GCR RMBs where you claimed you were couping the region. You continue to claim you've done something, but really you just further proved that you can't be trusted and you intend to serve your own interests, not Lazarus'.

You're really just showing how detached you really are from this region. There has been ongoing discussions for quite some time now in the government and in the citizenry (mostly on Discord which you don't take part in right?) on the direction for the region. There isn't a lack of people supplying ideas and motivation; there is a lack of combined effort towards those goals and wants, which is why this election is honestly pretty crucial. You can continue to deflect and poke petty jabs at Funk, but he is the only one providing some sort of coherent, solid plans that can actually produce results instead of just "yeah gameside uh huh".

So what you're saying is that you can only do things to benefit the region while you're delegate? That's what it seems like you're going on about here. You've obviously been paying attention, no? Yet, you seem to only come out of your hole when you see opportunity for some sort of personal gain. The region has been struggling for some time, yet none of us have seen you come around and supply input or aid in efforts to change things. You instead point fingers and claim everyone else is the problem. Weird. -_-

I personally would like to see recruitment, more government involvement encouraged, which leads to cultural activities off-site and on, etc. But hey, I'm not here to help build your platform, I'm just here to critique it.

However your actions may be extremely problematic, you're spot on with the gameside.

I think that part of the problem we face is that certain people take this game too seriously.

I'm not sure if you're making fun of me, or Lamb, or both of us, but that is A LOT of salt! :)

He's directing it at me because I hurt his and his lackeys' egos awhile back with a "you take this game pretty seriously". Him coming around Lazarus to derail a campaign thread to shit-post is kind of just him indulging in that.

Hey, you can derail your own thread all you want. It just continues to make you look like the candidate we don't need by shying away from the criticism you're receiving.

Does it upset you when I jack my thread? Maybe you should go somewhere else then. :)
