Loftegen for Sovereign

A special election is upon us, and I am once more running for the office of Sovereign.

What can you expect from me if I am elected? Wacky antics, amusing hijinks, fun polls, and a Sovereign who is actual on and posting every day! Wouldn't that be a pleasant change? Might even spur some activity, which some say has been lacking of late.

Questions are welcome!

Is this what it's come to? Are wacky antics and amusing hijinks from the delegate all we have left?

That's not an unserious question at this point.

I didn't want to be serious but I'm going to be.

Now I know that the Sovereign technically doesn't have much power over the THI, but the THI is honestly made up of Aumelodia, 2 kind of experienced people, and about 3 noobs at this point. Would you try to expand it and push for a more active THI?

Also, will it just be wacky antics or wacky and crazy antics? This is very important to know. ;)

I think that part of the problem we face is that certain people take this game too seriously. They ignore, or outright discourage, play styles they don't like. That, and recent Sovereigns simply haven't been very active, in the forums or on the RMB. It takes activity to breed activity; when I was Sovereign I made an effort to be on every day, and to acknowledge and support other people's efforts to play the game their way, rather than trying to get them to play my way. I'm not gonna promise that I will actually fix our 'inactivity problem', but I'll try, and not just by proposing some new government program, but by being active myself.

I can't make people participate in the army, but I can and will support the efforts of the army commander. I mean, I could give them all the rank of Cardinal, and send them to regions where no one expects them. That might be fun. :) Or I can rename them the Kekistani Army, and send them to wage meme wars against other regions. Meme raids, now that's an idea!

Also, wacky, crazy, and insane! Nothing but the best for the people of Lazarus!

Will you use your position to get rid of those dry, humorless politicians?
Also, you should have your campaign slogan as "Make Lazarus Fun Again". Or "Make Lazarus Meme Again".

Some of them might quit in fits of pique, if I actually win! :) Maybe. You never can tell. Cormac did, but that was ages ago.

Also, Make Lazarus Fun Again it is!

Hey, I'm one of those dry, humorless people. :(

Thank you for the thoughtful reply, Loftegen, that is actually a lot of what I'd like to see in a Sovereign. I just want a Sovereign that gives enough of a shit about this community to be on most every day and do the stuff he or she is supposed to do and be available to discuss things with their own Cabinet (and the community) regularly. Trust me, it's not any fun being on a Cabinet where there's no guidance, or worse where you're the only person left by virtue of being the only one who hasn't resigned or gone inactive. Combating inactivity isn't some mythical problem or rocket science...it just takes some people that give a shit, especially their leader.

It seems no one is really bringing up the most recent happenings, so let me do it. I understand that you're now playing off your most recent in-game delegacy as a goof and for some reason thought it was going to spur some sort of productive activity in the region, but let's look at the facts.

You became delegate and immediately changed the WFE in a way that portrayed you as the head of state and commanded residents to endorse you. You also proceeded to go onto every GCR's RMB that we have an embassy with and hint that you were 'couping' Lazarus. In addition to that, you removed BC from Doperland (the rightful Sovereign at the time), meaning there was no one who had BC other than yourself in the region. Though you count this as an overreaction to your spoof, it required a call to defender allies and a region-wide telegram to have residents unendorse you and prop-up the next highest endorsement nation in the region because it was clear you had no intention on respecting the proper procedures or government officials of the region.

I want Lazarus to get out of this slump that seems to have just gotten deeper and deeper, but I don't think that warrants completely undermining everything we've worked to establish thus far, whether you think it needs to stay or not. You have a history of abusing your in-game position when possible and it's unclear how you will act, if elected, once your term ends.

Lazarus does need some fun, but it also needs people who are willing to put in the work. You've only come around recently and really, haven't seemed to put any effort in to do any actual work or push for any progress in our region. We need some more engagement on the gameside, sure, but that's the least of our worries.

Clarify this, please. You are aware I served two terms as delegate (without CTE'ing or resigning), and have been in Lazarus for years, right?
