Wintercrest is a single-party democratic state with an elected legislative branch as well as an elected head of government. The Revolutionary Mothers serve as dual heads of state, sharing the Founder, WA Delegate, and Forum Root accounts. Wintercrest has a multi-tiered political system which begins at the local level: its provinces. Provinces are allowed full autonomy over their affairs so long as they do not conflict with region-wide law or the Constitution. They may form their own provincial councils and are entitled to at least one seat in the Revolutionary People’s Congress, the main regional legislature. Citizens may also petition for the creation of new provinces, giving everyone the opportunity to experiment and craft their own realm within Wintercrest. Culturally and socially, Wintercrest is open to all people of all backgrounds who wish to live a peaceful life amongst friends and comrades. Wintercrest does not tolerate racism, religious hatred, homophobia, transphobia, and other hateful forms of speech. We proudly boast one of the largest LGTBQ+ communities in NationStates and believe that our diversity should be cherished and grown. Wintercrest aims to forge relations with like minded communities and work towards a global NationStates community of friendship and respect. When suitable we do encourage formal treaties and exchanges, however remain flexible enough to work with regions of many backgrounds and their respective procedures. As such, Wintercrest encourages all regions of similar mindsets to reach out and establish relations regardless of level or immediate impact.
